The invention is directed to a chemical reactor () having (a) two or more gas reactor elements () with each gas reactor element () having (i) a first reaction chamber (), and (ii) a feed assembly unit (), (b) a second reaction chamber () coupled with each of the two or more gas reactor elements () and configured to independently receive two or more product streams from the two or more gas reactor elements (); and optionally, (c) a gas converging section () located downstream to the second reaction chamber (). The invention is further directed to a method of producing chemical products using the chemical reactor () of the present invention.

Reactor system for the production of high value chemical products

A fluid-solids contactor comprising an annular rotating fluidized bed and a method of using the same are disclosed. The fluid-solids contactor includes a vessel and a plurality feed inlets disposed thereon. The vessel comprises a stationary inner wall, an outer wall, and a chamber formed between the stationary inner wall and the outer wall. The feed inlets are configured to create an annular rotating bed with mixture of solids and a fluid when the solid particles and a fluid are fed into the chamber. The stationary inner wall of the vessel is permeable to the fluid such that the fluid from the chamber can be continuously withdrawn from the solids to the space within the stationary inner wall of the vessel.

A catalyst composition, suitable for producing ethylene and other Chydrocarbons, from methane. The invention relates to a composition containing a catalyst having high catalytic stability for conducting oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) at high carbon efficiency, while improving both methane and oxygen conversion. Particularly, the inventive catalyst is a metal oxide supported catalyst, which contains an alkali metal promoter and a mixed metal oxide component having at least one alkali earth metal and at least one rare earth metal. The metal oxide support is selected in a manner, such that at least a portion of the metal oxide support is capable of reacting with at least a part or whole of the alkali metal promoter under conditions of calcination during catalyst preparation. The invention further provides a method for preparing such a metal oxide supported catalyst composition, using a calcination process. Additionally, the invention further describes a process for producing Chydrocarbons, using such a catalyst composition.

OCM catalyst composition having improved stability and carbon efficiency

A pyrolysis reactor () and method for the pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases (e.g., methane) utilizes a pyrolysis reactor () having a unique burner assembly () and pyrolysis feed assembly () that creates an inwardly spiraling fluid flow pattern of the feed gases to form a swirling gas mixture that passes through a burner conduit () with a constricted neck portion or nozzle (). At least a portion of the swirling gas mixture forms a thin, annular mixed gas flow layer immediately adjacent to the burner conduit (). A portion of the swirling gas mixture is combusted as the swirling gas mixture passes through the burner conduit () and a portion of combustion products circulates in the burner assembly (). This provides conditions suitable for pyrolysis of hydrocarbons or light alkane gas, such as methane or natural gas.

A process for producing ethylene and syngas comprising reacting, via OCM, first reactant mixture (CH&O) in first reaction zone comprising OCM catalyst to produce first product mixture comprising ethylene, ethane, hydrogen, CO, CO, and unreacted methane; introducing second reactant mixture comprising first product mixture to second reaction zone excluding catalyst to produce second product mixture comprising ethylene, ethane, hydrogen, CO, CO, and unreacted methane, wherein a common reactor comprises both the first and second reaction zones, wherein ethane of second reactant mixture undergoes cracking to ethylene, wherein COof second reactant mixture undergoes hydrogenation to CO, and wherein an amount of ethylene in the second product mixture is greater than in the first product mixture; recovering methane stream, ethane stream, COstream, ethylene stream, and syngas stream (CO&H) from the second product mixture; and recycling the ethane stream and the carbon dioxide stream to second reaction zone.
