The present invention relates to a transmyocardial implant placement device with an introducer, a transmyocardial implant mounted about the introducer, a wound closure clip engaged to the introducer adjacent the transmyocardial implant. The introducer is adapted to be inserted through a lumen of a coronary vessel and a myocardium of a patient into a chamber of the patient's heart and form a blood flow pathway through the myocardium between the heart chamber and the coronary vessel. When the introducer is inserted, the wound closure clip engages an outer wall of the coronary vessel and the transmyocardial implant extends from the heart chamber to the lumen of the coronary vessel. The transmyocardial implant is expanded in the blood flow pathway and the introducer retracted, leaving the transmyocardial implant in the within the blood flow pathway. As the introducer is retracted, the wound closure clip disengages from the introducer and closes an opening created by the introducer in the outer wall of the coronary vessel.

Device for placing transmyocardial implant

A method for performing a bypass procedure utilizes the patient's vascular system for accessing or reaching a desired location within the patient's body. The method may also provide a direct flow path from a heart chamber to a coronary vessel via a septal passageway.

Intravascular ventriculocoronary bypass via a septal passageway

A vascular implant includes a scaffold and a tubing in covering relating to the scaffold. Preferably, the tubing completely covers or encases the scaffold interior surface and exterior surface to leave no portion of the scaffold exposed. Methods for constructing includes pulling tubing through a scaffold and folding at least a portion of the tubing over at least one of the ends of the scaffold. Methods for using an implant include performing coronary vessel bypass procedures or forming blood flow paths in a blood vessel utilizing constructions described herein.

Encased implant and methods

An implant for use in direct left ventricle to coronary vessel revascularization is disclosed. The implant includes a sleeve sized to pass through a heart wall. The sleeve is sufficiently rigid to remain open during contraction of the heart. The implant also includes a plurality of conduits at least partially mounted in the sleeve.

Multi-lumen implant

An attachment member for securing a graft material to a vessel includes a conduit portion for attachment to the graft material. The attachment member has first and second anchor wings formed on opposite sides of an end of the conduit portion. The anchor wings are biased to extend substantially perpendicular to an axis of the conduit portion. The first and second anchor wings have arcuate shapes around substantially collinear axes for the anchor wings to define a flow path within a vessel on opposite sides of the conduit portion.
