A mouse pad support adapted for mounting to a keyboard support and having a platform adapted to support a computer mouse, a connector arm adapted for mounting to the keyboard support, and a joint mounting the connector arm to the platform for swivel movement of the platform with respect to the connector arm. The joint typically includes ball and socket portions. The mouse pad support has a connector adapted to removably mount the connector arm to a complementary pocket in the keyboard support without the use of tools. A keyboard support includes a first platform having a pocket for receiving a connector on a connector arm, and a second platform adapted to support a computer mouse, the connector arm extending between the first and second platforms for detachably mounting to the first platform and for adjustably mounting the second platform relative to the first platform.

A shoe is provided having one or more selectively extendable spikes mounted to the sole. The sole contains one or more spike housings, each retaining a spring-biased spike selectively movable between a retracted or extended position with respect to the housing as desired. A slide member disposed in the sole of the shoe is manually operated to extend or retract the spikes.

A cabinet unit (10) with a flipper door (12) is described. The unit is formed by a top wall (10A), a bottom wall (10B) and two sidewalls (10C and 10D). A pair of brackets (14) having apertures (14A) are mounted on the inside surface (12C) of the flipper door. An axle (16) having two ends (16A) extends through the apertures Pinion gears (18) are mounted onto the two ends. A pair of U-shaped unitary members (30) which form a pair of racks (22) and a pair of guide ledges (26) are mounted on the inner surface (10I and 10J) of each sidewall. The pinion gears are provided with first teeth (18K) which rotatably engage the second teeth (22C) of the rack for allowing movement of the flipper door. The gears are also provided with second extensions (18D) which protrude into the U-shaped unitary piece just below the guide ledge to assist in stabilizing the flipper door during movement.

A one-piece, resilient fastener clip especially useful for securing furniture shelving, and particularly metal shelving, to side supports via headed studs extending from the supports. The clip is preferably formed from spring steel and includes a pair of resiliently interconnected flanges for securing the clip to a downwardly extending end flange on the shelf. The flanges preferably include slots for slidably receiving a stud, inclined ramp means to draw the shelf toward the support, and a tab for holding the clip on the shelf. The clip allows the shelf to rest on the stud and includes releasable locking means in the form of a third flange resiliently interconnected with one of the other flanges and having a locking aperture therein which is receivable over the stud head. The clip pulls the shelf toward its support with a maximum force when the locking aperture is received over the stud head.

The pop-up electrical receptacle unit, when mounted in relation to an opening in a desk or table, enables the user to effect a retracted or concealed condition of the receptacle by pressing the receptacle downwardly and then permitting the receptacle to rise slightly by means of a coil spring. Such action rotates a ratchet mechanism into an obstructive relation with a pin carried on an actuator attached to the underside of the receptacle and movable therewith. The user effects a protracted or exposed condition of the receptacle by again depressing and releasing the receptacle so as to rotatively index the ratchet mechanism into an angular relation in which the actuated pin is no longer obstructed, the receptacle then being thrust upwardly by the coil spring into its protracted position in which position the prongs of an electrical plug can be inserted into the elevated receptacle.
