An integrated audio microphone system simultaneously provides in-room amplification and remote communication during a collaboration session with one or more local participants in a shared space and one or more remote participants. The integrated audio microphone system includes at least one microphone array and speaker system located in the shared space, at least one microphone system for amplification located in the shared space, an audio processor connected to the microphone system and the microphone array and speaker system, and a computer connected to the audio processor. The audio processor is configured to generate a plurality of virtual microphone bubbles and to amplify received audio signals from the microphone system for in-room audio amplification. The amplified audio signals are output to speakers of the microphone array and speaker system. Audio signals from the microphone system and the arrays of microphones are output to the computer to send the audio signals to one or more remote participants.

System and method utilizing discrete microphones and virtual microphones to simultaneously provide in-room amplification and remote communication during a collaboration session

The disclosed invention provides system and method for providing electronic collaborations between a plurality of user devices connected through networks. The user devices include one or more collaborator devices and one or more anonymous contributor devices. The system includes instructions for contribution processor and instructions for digital workspace processor. The contribution processor is coupled through the networks to the one or more anonymous contributor devices including contribution applications, and the digital workspace processor is coupled through the networks to the one or more collaborator devices including digital workspace applications. The system and method allows anonymous devices geographically located anywhere, in real-time, to simultaneously contribute data for the purpose of using the contributed data in one or more unique digital workspaces.

Method, apparatus, and computer-readable media for touch and speech interface, with audio location, includes structure and/or function whereby at least one processor: (i) receives a touch input from a touch device; (ii) establishes a touch-speech time window; (iii) receives a speech input from a speech device; (iii) determines whether the speech input is present in a global dictionary; (iv) determines a location of a sound source from the speech device; (v) determines whether the touch input and the location of the speech input are both within a same region; (vi) if the speech input is in the dictionary, determines whether the speech input has been received within the window; and (vii) if the speech input has been received within the window, and the touch input and the speech input are both within the same region, activates an action corresponding to both the touch input and the speech input.

An image capture method comprises generating a synchronization signal based on modulated illumination; and synchronizing image frame capture of at least one image sensor using the synchronization signal with the illumination timing of an active pointer within a region of interest in the field of view of the at least one image sensor.

Interactive input system and method

An interactive input system comprises an optical waveguide, a radiation source directing radiation into the optical waveguide, the radiation undergoing total internal reflection within the optical waveguide in response to at least one touch input on a surface of the optical waveguide. At least one imaging device is positioned adjacent to the waveguide, the at least one imaging device having a field of view looking inside the optical waveguide and capturing image frames thereof. Processing structure processes the image frames captured by the at least one imaging device to determine a location of the at least one touch input based on a frequency of reflections of the radiation appearing in the image frame.

An interactive panel comprises an optical waveguide within which totally internally reflected (TIR) illumination propagates, a display device beneath the optical waveguide and a partially transparent layer beneath the display device. The partially transparent layer reflects backlight illumination towards the display device and at least allows TIR illumination escaping from the optical waveguide and passing through the optical waveguide and the display panel, as a result of one or more contacts made on the optical waveguide, to pass therethrough.

A three-dimensional (3D) interactive input system comprises a holographic image generator defining an enclosed space to accommodate a 3D object and configured to generate a holographic image of the 3D object that appears adjacent an input region of the holographic image generator. A projection unit is configured to project image data onto the 3D object, the image data projected onto the 3D object appearing on the holographic image. A sensing unit is configured to detect user proximity to the input region. Processing structure is configured to process sensing unit output and in response, update image data projected by the projection unit.

A tiled touch system comprises a display on which a computer-generated image is presented. The image is formed of an array of image segments. A digitizer is mapped to the display and senses pointer contacts made thereon.

A touch panel includes an input registration structure comprising a biasable medium layer. A generally inflexible cover is disposed on the input registration structure and defines a touch surface. A pointer biases the biasable medium layer at a position adjacent the pointer when the pointer is positioned proximate the touch surface. The input registration structure generates a position signal corresponding to the position of the pointer in relation to the touch surface.
