An agitator motor assembly is removable from a front of an ice dispenser for servicing, thereby eliminating the need to gain entrance into a storage bin to uncouple the agitator motor assembly from an agitator bar assembly. The ice dispenser includes the storage bin having a port, the agitator bar assembly disposed within the storage bin, and the agitator motor assembly mounted to a front of an exterior portion of the bin. A shaft of the agitator motor assembly engages the agitator bar assembly through the port, such that the agitator motor assembly rotates the agitator bar assembly when powered. The agitator motor assembly further includes a fastening device that passes through a bore in the shaft and engages the agitator bar assembly, thereby coupling the agitator motor assembly to the agitator bar assembly. A method for removing the agitator motor assembly is also provided.

Method and apparatus for a front access removable agitator motor

An automated sanitizing system for a vacuum ice conveyance system generally includes a source of sanitizing solution, a source of ice, an ice hopper for association of the sanitizing solution with the ice and an outlet from the ice hopper for introduction of the association of solution and ice into a vacuum ice conveyance system. The sanitizing solution is produced at the ice hopper by mixing a concentrated sanitizing agent with water, whereafter the solution is sprayed over a harvest of ice as the ice is dropped into the hopper for conveyance through the vacuum ice conveyance system. The system is also adapted to associate clean water with the ice for rinsing from the conveyance system of the sanitizing agent.

Automated sanitizing system for vacuum ice conveyance systems

An improved shopping cart brake for attachment to the rear leg of a shopping cart is disclosed, the brake for preventing the rotation of a non-inflatable tire on the rear leg of the shopping cart. The shopping cart brake includes a connecting arm, which is removably and adjustably attached to the rear leg of the shopping cart. The brake also includes a split yoke, which is pivotally connected to the connecting arm. The split yoke has two braking flanges which engage and apply frictional force to the sides of the non-inflatable tire to prevent the tire from rotating. An actuator is also included, the actuator being integral with the split yoke and for applying force to the split yoke to engage the braking flanges with the sides of the non-inflatable tire. The shopping cart brake also includes an adjustable tension bar between the braking flanges which may be used to increase or decrease the frictional force the braking flanges apply to the non-inflatable tire. When the tension bar is adjusted properly, the braking flanges may be disengaged from the sides of the non-inflatable tire by merely moving the cart to the rear. A pop-up spring is also included. The pop-up spring is located between the connecting arm and the split yoke and biases the split yoke to a normal position where the braking flanges do not contact the sides of the non-inflatable tire when the brake is disengaged.

Shopping cart brake

A heating unit consisting of a mixture and blend of a built in means including organic, inorganic materials, and fuels compressed into a generally stable solid, which, due to built in expanding force means, such as vermiculite ore embodies the function of the non-existant conventional liquid fuel container and heater for burning fuel with a regulated intensity rate and length of burn; the heating unit slowly self-destructs its mass, and by this burn method so alters or changes the left over or spent material, at least in part, as to cause it to become a useful fertilizer, said conditioner and plant nutrient. The organic materials may consist of paper, wood, organic muck, peat, and the like. The inorganic material may consist of phosphate, phosphate clay, limestone, dolomite, calcium, magnesium, sodium and the ore of the non-metallic mineral vermiculite, and the like. The fuel may be a liquid or solid hydro-carbons. The primary object of this invention is to provide an effective heating system for protection in agricultural areas where winter-time crops are grown and by virtue of said heating to provide an added benefit of fertilizer, which will in major part overcome the traditionally high cost of such heating.
