A system for access control, said system comprising a plurality of mobile user devices, an access control device and an access control server, wherein said access control server is configured to send configuration data to said access control device by communicating over a Low Throughput Network, said configuration data comprising a distinct data element (RN-AP) and an authorization code (XRES-AP) for the access control device; said access control device is configured to receive said configuration data from said access control server by communicating over the Low Throughput Network; each mobile user device is configured to establish a communication channel with the access control device and to receive said distinct data element (RN-AP) over said communication channel; and to send a request containing the distinct data element in order for the access control device to receive a further authorization code (XRES-AP) determined by the access control server; and said access control device is configured to compare the received further authorization code with the authorization code previously received at the access control device from the access control server and to validate the access based on the result of the comparing.

Methods and apparatus for facilitating LTE roaming between home and visited operators

The present invention is directed towards a method and system for redirecting roaming network traffic in an LTE network. The method includes observing a registration process of a subscriber in a visited network. The method further includes sending one or more messages to the visited network to induce a re-registration attempt by the subscriber to another Radio Access Technology (RAT) network of the same visited network. The method further includes applying one or more legacy steering techniques to move the subscriber to a target visited network.

Steering of roaming in LTE and legacy network environment

The present disclosure is directed to a method and system for enabling and facilitating roaming of subscribers of a home public land mobile network (HPLMN) equipped with long term evolution (LTE) devices into a LTE access network of a visited PLMN (VPLMN). Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services are not supported in the HPLMN or the roaming subscribers do not have the VoLTE services. The VPLMN only supports the VoLTE services. Alternatively, the VPLMN supports VoLTE and circuit switched fall back (CSFB) to a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) network, but the roaming subscriber's LTE device does not support CSFB to the CDMA network. A non-VoLTE inbound roaming subscriber is registered in a home location register (HLR) as if the roaming subscriber were roaming in a VPLMN circuit switched domain. A local IMS subscription with telephony services is created and the telephony services are provided to the non-VoLTE inbound roaming subscriber.

The methods further include facilitating call forwarding of the test calls from the local agent to a local number. Advanced predictive intelligence for termination bypass detection and prevention

The present invention provides a method for facilitating exchange of roaming information between a first gateway and either a Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE) agent or second gateway in real time. The method includes obtaining, by a first gateway associated with the VPMN, one or more event parameters in real time from mobile communication of the VPMN's inbound roamer coming from the HPMN. The method further includes generating the roaming information at the first gateway in real time, using one or more obtained event parameters such that the generated roaming information is comprehendible to either an NRTRDE agent associated with the VPMN or a third party vendor, or a second gateway associated with the HPMN. The method further includes providing the roaming information by the first gateway to either the NRTRDE agent or the second gateway in real time.
