Pyrazolines of general formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are hydrogen or fluorine, are described, as well as processes for their preparation and their use as insecticides and acaricides.

There are provided new alkane and alkoxyalkane derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and A have the meanings given in the description, processes for their preparation and insecticidal and acaricidal compositions containing these compounds.
