A web comprising a layer of crosslinked cellulosic fiber overlaid on and integral with at least one layer of regenerated cellulose fiber. The crosslinked cellulosic fiber can be sandwiched between two regenerated cellulose fiber layers. The regenerated cellulose can be viscose or lyocell.

Lyocell web product

A method for making a web comprising a layer of crosslinked cellulosic fiber overlaid on and fastened to at least one layer of regenerated cellulose fiber. In one method the crosslinked cellulosic fiber is be sandwiched between two regenerated cellulose fiber layers. The regenerated cellulose can be viscose or lyocell or be made from several solvents.

Method for making lyocell web product

An absorbent product, for use in absorbent articles, comprising an absorbent layer and a wicking layer of densified hydrophilic material. The absorbent layer comprises resilient hydrophilic fibers and superabsorbent material. The absorbent layer includes at least one area comprising a bulky fibrous structure having high void regions of low fiber density randomly distributed in the structure.
