Herewith disclosed a method for volume visualization in ultra-wideband radar and a system thereof. The method comprises perceiving processing provided in order to facilitate a meaningful representation and/or an instant understanding of the image to be displayed, said perceiving processing resulted in generating one or more perceiving image ingredients. The perceiving image ingredient may be, for example, a shadow added to the reconstructed image, a position-dependent color scheme applied to the reconstructed image, a color scheme adapted to external lighting conditions and applied to the reconstructed image, a Halo artificially added to the reconstructed image, a distinctive color scheme applied to time-invariant and time-variant elements of the reconstructed image, etc.

System and method for volume visualization in ultra-wideband radar

A through-wall imaging device having antenna elements for transmitting and receiving signals adapted to pass through a wall for imaging objects therebehind, having a base with a carrier portion and a plurality of spaced-apart extensions connected thereto. At least a portion of the antenna elements are mounted on the extensions. The area between adjacent extensions is free of any material of the base at least when the extensions are in an operative state.

Through-wall imaging device

A method for determining changes in internal delays of RF units, the RF units including a plurality of receivers and transmitters. The method includes providing initial direct signals' time of arrivals of the RF units initial internal delays of the RF units. Following this, each transmitter transmitting a direct signal, and the real-time direct signal's time of arrivals of the RF units, are measured. Then, changes in internal delays of the RF units are calculated based on the real-time direct signals' time of arrivals and initial direct signals' time of arrivals. And finally, real-time internal delays of the RF units are calculated based on the changes in internal delays and the initial internal delays of the RF units.

Automatic delay calibration and tracking for ultra-wideband antenna array

An acquisition channel () includes a UWB sampler block () coupled to an analog integration block () further coupled to a digital integration block () via an analog/digital converter (). For each range cell the UWB sampler block () repeatedly samples the received signal by tuning the sampling instants to the range cells to be acquired. The acquisition channel () is further coupled to a processor () and a database ().
