A web structure for a non-pneumatic tire includes a first corrugated ring having a first plurality of peaks and a first plurality of valleys. The first corrugated ring is a pre-strained, thermoplastic elastomer resin ring. The web structure further includes a second corrugated ring having a second plurality of peaks and a second plurality of valleys. The second corrugated ring is a pre-strained, thermoplastic elastomer resin ring. The second plurality of valleys are affixed to the first plurality of peaks by welding or an adhesive.

Web structure for non-pneumatic tire and method of making same

A rim assembly for a tire includes an outer rim having an outer annular surface and an inner surface. The rim assembly also has an inner rim with an outer surface, wherein the inner surface of the outer rim has a first plurality of axial grooves that define a first plurality of axial ridges. The outer surface of the inner rim has a second plurality of axial grooves that define a second plurality of axial ridges. The second plurality of axial grooves have a cross-sectional geometry corresponding to a cross-sectional geometry of the first plurality of axial ridges, and the second plurality of axial ridges have a cross-sectional geometry corresponding to a cross-sectional geometry of the first plurality of axial grooves.

Tire rim assembly having inner and outer rim components

The present disclosure relates to a light-weight tire inner tube comprising a film tube with a wall thickness of 100 to 400 microns, pneumatic tires containing the light-weight tire inner tube, and related methods for manufacturing the light-weight tire inner tube. The film tube is comprised of a film material comprising at least one thermoplastic engineering resin and optionally at least one saturated elastomer, and the film material of the film tube has an oxygen permeability of 8-15 cmO/m&#xb7;per day at 25&#xb0; C.
