A system includes a tubing hanger configured to be positioned in a wellhead assembly, the tubing hanger configured to support a tubing string, the tubing hanger including: a bore extending at least partially through the tubing hanger; and a valve disposed along the bore of the tubing hanger, wherein the valve is configured to control the flow of a fluid medium through the bore, and wherein the valve includes: an electrical actuator, wherein the electrical actuator is disposed at least partially within the tubing hanger, and wherein the electrical actuator is configured to selectively open or close the valve in response to one or more electrical signals.

Electrical actuation of a valve in a wellhead assembly

An assembly having a dual barrier gasket located at an interface between a first body and a second body is disclosed. The dual barrier gasket may include a substantially cylindrical inner surface. The dual barrier gasket may further include a gasket outer surface that is configured to provide an inner sealing barrier and an outer sealing barrier, where a first tangent plane to a portion of the outer sealing barrier is radially offset from a second tangent plane to a portion of the inner sealing barrier. The gasket outer surface may include a first port and a second port. A channel may extend from the first port through the dual barrier gasket to the second port. The first body (or the second body) include a channel extending from a cavity between the two sealing barriers of the dual barrier gasket and the first body (or the second body) to an external port.

Assembly having a dual barrier gasket

The present invention is directed to rotary valve assemblies and, more particularly, to a rotary valve assembly for use in an oil and gas production system. The valve assembly comprises a movable actuator sleeve movable in response to hydraulic pressure and at least one seat, the at least one seat having at least one fluid channel capable of providing fluid flow therethrough. The valve assembly also comprises a rotating disk disposed between the at least one seat and a support bushing, the rotating disk capable of rotating in response to movement of the movable actuator sleeve, the rotating disk having an open position and a closed position, wherein the open position permits fluid flow through the at least one fluid channel of the at least one seat and the closed position stops fluid flow through the at least one fluid channel of the at least one seat.

Rotary valve assembly

There are disclosed three embodiments of a gate valve having a fail safe actuator which is especially useful in a subsea environment at considerably depth below water surface. The gate is urged to open position by control pressure and is moved to closed position, upon loss of a controlled condition, by means of a spring acting between the actuator and the stem. In one embodiment, when the body pressure is low, a floating ring sealably shiftable within an annular space between the stem and actuator is urged by body pressure into a position to engage a stop on the stem, and thus provide a force urging it in a direction to close the gate, when body pressure is below ambient, and by ambient pressure to a position to engage a stop on the actuator when body pressure is above ambient. In a second embodiment of the invention, the valve includes a balance stem which is spring-pressed to engage the end of the gate opposite its operating stem, when body pressure is low relative to ambient, but moves out of engagement with gate and into a limited position in engagement with the actuator, when body pressure is high relative to ambient. In the third embodiment of the invention, the valve includes both the floating ring and the spring-pressed balance stem of the first and second embodiments.
