A drinkware contains a drinking bottle cap and a container. The drinking bottle cap that contains a support structure configured to support and host one or more smart devices is disclosed. The drinking bottle cap creates a secured stand for smart phones and smart tablets, such that the smart devices coupled with the drinking bottle cap are immobilized by and supported by the supporting structure of the cap. The drinkware can contain electronic components and used as a media content player similar to a music or video player.

A method of monitoring brushing of a tooth and gum surface includes sensing a brushing relative to the tooth surface during a brushing session and generating feedback in response to the brushing. In one embodiment, feedback is generated when a user, such as a child, starts brushing. In another embodiment, feedback is generated when the brushing technique deviates from a correct brushing technique, such as the Bass Technique. When a user uses a correct brushing technique, the bristles on the brush head of a tooth brush vibrate. When the user uses an incorrect brushing technique, the vibrations stop, alerting the user that her technique is incorrect. The user can be alerted about improper brushing techniques in other ways, such as by generating audible sounds such as chirps, interrupting audio signals such as music, generating flashing lights, or the like. Preferably, a user's brushing technique can be tracked for later evaluation.

The system includes an oral care device. The oral care device, such as a toothbrush, includes one or more targets. Each target designates a specific area of the toothbrush, such as back side, a front side, a brush head or a brush end. A target can be a color or a tag, and can be removably coupled or integrally formed with the toothbrush. The system also includes an application configured to detect the targets, to determine that a property of any of the targets has changed. Based on at least the determination, the application is configured to monitor progress of brushing and to control an element in the application.

An apparatus, method, system for 3-D printing that includes a nozzle and a movable platform, wherein the platform provides for a constant distance configuration of the platform relative to the extrusion emitter or nozzle thereby precluding the need to level the printer. A central point of origin is further provided for establishing the directions of movement of the movable cantilevered platform. The direction of motion of the motion vectors each pass through the central point of origin thereby providing a movable platform that stays a constant distance relative to the nozzle when moved in any planar direction within each layer.

Embodiments of the present invention embody motion detection via a camera for mobile platform video gaming, in either integrated or separately attachable components. The system includes an object provided by a player or an eatery. The object includes at least one target, each of the at least one target designates a specific area of the object, such as back side, a front side, a first send or a second end. An oral care brush includes a brush head coupled to a handle at an articulation point. A sensor is mounted for monitoring the articulation point to determine whether a brushing motion is proper. One or more tilt sensors can also be mounted in the handle to determine the orientation of the oral care brush relative to gravity. This orientation can also be used to determine proper brushing motion. A processor is mounted within the handle for receiving information from the sensors. A speaker in the handle is coupled to receive information from the processor and provide it to the user. The processor can also provide the user audio game-play scenarios using the speaker. The handle can also include one or more light sources.

A video game device and method are provided. The device is a cordless touch-free video game device that is plug and play. The device includes an array of light transmitters for transmitting a light signal to an object. The object can be retroreflectors that are attached to a user's feet or hands. Upon striking the objects, the transmitted signal is reflected, producing a reflected light signal. A light receiver including a detection array receives the reflected signal from the objects and the reflected signal is transformed into a second signal used to send and track motion of the objects. The motion is used by a game device that determines an activity of the user by sensing the type of user movement performed. The device is ideally suited for controlling cursor position for use with video dance games.

Two reflectors, which may be mirrors or prisms, are positioned to separate the field of view of a camera lens on the mobile graphical device into a direct field of view and an offset field of view and to record and display the separated fields in a two-paned format on the mobile graphical device. Eye lenses are used to separately view the split images. An integrated housing and cradle receive the mobile graphical device and are coupled to the reflectors and the eye lenses. An area of each pane may be provided to display control icons for three-dimensional viewing, and a control area may be provided out of view on a touch screen for user control.

A light source, a convex mirror and an optical sensor are disposed within a housing which is transparent to the range of wavelengths from the light source and of a low distortion scratch-resistant material. A game board is used with retro-reflective elements, such as moveable playing markers or game tokens, cards or regions affixed to and integrated into the game board. A data store stores the locations of the reflective elements and other game-related data, such as data needed to measure a player's score or position in a game or data to provide guided play. A device and method for transmitting sound waves between a signal source and a user's ears, wherein the sound waves bypass the air. The sound waves are conducted by the user's teeth and bones to the user's ears, where they are perceived as sound. Sound-transmitting toothbrushes and the like are described to transmit and/or conduct sound to the user's ear, while the user is brushing his or her teeth. The toothbrush head and a signal source are configured to produce sound waves for transmission through the toothbrush head to the user's mouth, and a tension controller is configured to control the volume of the sound waves based on the pressure applied by the toothbrush head. The signal source may produce sound waves directly or with the assistance of a transducer. The signal source may be replaceable, connect to a replaceable cartridge, or connect to an adaptor capable of downloading data to allow the signal source data to be replaceable. The tension controller may include gap spacing between the transducer coil and transducer plate. The tension controller may also include a boost switch configured as a bypass switch, activation signal, or force sensor.
