The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces and techniques for managing and visualizing sound reduction using a computer system. In accordance with some embodiments, the computer system displays a representation of a noise level including, in accordance with a sound reduction display option being enabled, a first indication of a noise level at a first time and a second indication of a noise level at a time different from the first time. In accordance with some embodiments, in accordance with a determination that the sound reduction display option is not enabled, an indication of a noise level at the first time that indicates the noise level.

The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces and techniques for managing audio exposure using a computer system (e.g., an electronic device). In accordance with some embodiments, the electronic device displays a graphical indication of a noise exposure level over a first period of time with an area of the graphical indication that is colored to represent the noise exposure level, the color of the area transitioning from a first color to a second color when the noise exposure level exceeds a first threshold. Availability detection may be progressively performed such that cheap operations are performed first to reduce the need to perform more expensive ones. A reader indicator may be presented in a user interface of a browser if the availability of the reader mode is detected. A user of the browser may be noted with an alternative presentation of the article content from the web page in addition to a presentation of the whole web page by the browser. If the reader mode of the web page is not available, no reader indicator may be present in the browser.

The signature can be generated by identifying a portion or portions of a content source, and determining a signature that defines the portion or portions. If the source is updated, the signature can be retrieved and compared to elements in the updated source. If an element in the updated source matches information included in the signature, content corresponding to the matching element is displayed.

An algorithm based on both the element and the element format is applied to identify a qualifying block to which a user's input is directed. Then, to facilitate an easy way of editing the web page content, a visual option is displayed for selection by the user to perform an operation (deleting, copying, etc.) on the block. The switching routine registration unit stores a reference to a custom context switching routine in a particular thread object. The thread scheduling unit determines when rescheduling operations for transferring execution from one thread to another are required, and directs rescheduling operations. During rescheduling operations, the custom context switching unit initiates the execution of a custom context switching routine associated with a thread being switched-out, after which the default context switching unit performs a default context switch, after which the custom context switching unit initiates the execution of a custom context switching routine associated with a thread being switched-in. A method for custom context switching comprises the steps of: executing a thread until rescheduling is required; determining whether the thread has an associated custom context switching routine; in the event that the thread has an associated custom context switching routine, initiating the execution of the custom context switching routine; and performing a context switch.
