Exemplary embodiments relate to methods, mediums, and systems for associating information, including critical-to-quality (CTQ) information such as minimum or maximum part dimensions, with parts in a three-dimensional model of a product. The information may be identified by performing a failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) against the model. The information is stored with the model data (e.g., in the form of an annotation applied to a model feature corresponding to the part in question). The model data may be consulted by product lifecycle management (PLM) applications during various phases of the product's lifecycle. Among other possibilities, the information may be used to automatically generate regulatory compliance documentation, to ensure product quality standards are met during a manufacturing process, or to perform postproduction quality monitoring of the product.

Systems and methods for aligning the phase of a PLL with an incoming data signal. In one embodiment, when a data signal is received in a PLL, a phase perturbation signal is generated and injected into the PLL. The PLL then performs a phase alignment procedure to lock on to the received data signal. The phase perturbation signal is a damped sinusoidal oscillation that is injected into the PLL when each of a plurality of data packets is received. The perturbation signal has an amplitude sufficient to bump the PLL out of a quasi-stable state around 180 degrees out of phase with the incoming data signal, but is damped to less than a degree of phase shift within 30 ns of being injected.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method for routing optical data. In one embodiment of the present invention, data can routed in a non-blocking fashion from a plurality of the ingress edge units to a plurality of egress edge units by selectively connecting the ingress edge units to the egress edge units at a photonic core. Switching at the photonic core can be driven by a clock signal and does not require an electrical to optical conversion to occur at the core. This can allow switching on the nanosecond level, substantially faster than many prior art systems.

Systems and methods for optical cross connects which switch data at a container (packet) level. In one embodiment, a plurality of optical switch edges are coupled to an optical switch core via a minimal number of optical fibers. The switch core is configured to optically switch data from an ingress edge to one of a plurality of egress edges in a nonblocking fashion. The ingress edge receives data streams and distributes the data among a plurality of container processors. Each of these container processors produces an optical signal of a different wavelength, which can then be multiplexed with others to form a multiple-wavelength optical signal that is transmitted to the switch core. The switch core then switches successive portions (containers) of the multiple-wavelength signal to the egress edges to which they are respectively destined. The respective egress edges perform the reverse of this process to form output data signals.

An improved edgewise orthodontic bracket is disclosed. In one embodiment, a bracket comprises a single pair of opposing T-shaped tie wings which define an archwire slot therebetween. Notches are provided on each of the mesial and distal sides of the center leg of each T-shaped tie wing for selectively receiving a ligating device. The notches are defined in the gingival/occlusal edges of the tie wings and comprise sloped portions that extend labially towards the archwire slot. Convex sidewall portions and convex floor portions are provided in the archwire slot adjacent to the notches. The body of the bracket is interconnected to a base that includes a continuous series of characters that serve as texturing to facilitate bonding of the bracket with a tooth. A discontinuous perimeter rail may be used at the edge of the base. A method for forming a bracket is also provided.

Drop wire clamp

A drop wire clamp for securing a drop wire having a messenger strand and a support wire and a method for securing the drop wire and for transferring the load of the drop wire to a support structure is provided. The clamp uses a helical spiral and an anchor for engaging and securing the drop wire. The support wire may be placed into the channel defined by the helical spiral by inserting the drop wire through an open end of the channel, by weaving the drop wire into openings between coils of the helical spiral or by deforming a malleable segment of the clamp to shape and form a helical spiral around the support wire. The clamp with engaged drop wire is fixed and supported to a support structure so that at least part of the load of the drop wire transfers to the structure.

An in-line skate having a plurality of aligned wheels which are secured and supported on the bottom of an in-line skate boot by a pair of axle supports. The axle supports extend longitudinally of the skate boot. One of the axle supports is secured directly to the skate boot. The other axle support is secured to and slides with respect to the other axle support. The wheels, each carried by an axle, are positioned within the inner axle support and are secured to the axle supports by axles that pass through aligned slots in the two supports. The slots in the axle supports are arranged to cause vertical movement of at least one, and preferably two, of the wheels when one axle support is moved relative to the other.

A ventilated in-line skate having a boot with a frame that supports a plurality of wheels having the axles in a longitudinal array. Ventilating means for the boot are formed by a rotor having a plurality of vanes that are coaxially mounted and secured for rotation with one wheel. A housing having an opening defining an air scoop encloses the rotor and is connected to one end of an air conduit that may be secured to the frame with its other end in fluid communication with the interior of the boot through a series of openings in the bottom side of the boot. Exit holes or apertures are formed at the rear of the boot to promote escape of air.
