A system for acquiring a test-and-measurement signal from a device under test (DUT) including a test-and-measurement probe, a user interface, a robot, and a controller. The probe is configured to acquire an electronic signal from the DUT. The user interface displays a digital representation of a physical electronic circuit of the DUT, including portrayals of virtual nodes that correspond to actual nodes on the DUT. The robot is configured to automatically position the probe with respect to the DUT. The controller is configured to receive from the user interface an electronic indication of a selected node of the digital representation of the physical electronic circuit, where the selected node is one of the virtual nodes. The controller is further configured to provide instructions to the robot to automatically position the probe to a position on the physical electronic circuit corresponding to the actual node.

A method for indicating a probing target for a fabricated electronic circuit including: generating an electronic, three-dimensional model based on manufacturing layout information of a fabricated circuit; obtaining, with a vision system, visual environment information for the fabricated circuit; scaling and orienting the three-dimensional model by a scaler and mapper based on the visual environment information; overlaying the three-dimensional model with the visual environment information to produce a correlated image; obtaining an identification of a desired network node of the fabricated circuit; and indicating a probing target, the probing target corresponding to the desired network node of the fabricated circuit.

A method of displaying a time sequence of 2-dimensional data represents each data set in the time sequence as a normalized figure based upon a reference set of data. The perimeter of the normalized figure is color coded to represent deviations from a data standard that corresponds to the 2-dimensional data. For subsequent data sets in the time sequence each normalized figure is sized to form a series of concentric figures for display representing all the data sets in the time sequence so that patterns of both rotational and magnitude changes are visually apparent.

A device for altering the effective mass of a stringed instrument employs a movable mass such as an adjustable calibrated weight affixed to an accessory or member on the body of the instrument. The adjustable weight is a known weight and in the form of a movable mass clamp that can be externally mounted on the endpin of a cello or bass. The adjustable weight can be a 'C' shaped body or a split collar style body with either one employing a threaded fastener to hold the body on the endpin. A variation encompasses a mounted adjustable weight in the form of a clamp affixed to some portion of an instrument. The clamp has a flexible interface or pad between the clamp and the instrument. A series of varying weights can be selected to be applied to the clamp. Another variation employs the endbutton on a violin. The endbutton has an opening disposed therethrough with threads provided therein. From a series of pins having threads disposed thereon, a pin is selected and is threadably engaged with the endbutton to place a selected mass inside the body of the violin. A friction fit may be used in lieu of threads. The pins can be tapered with the head of each pin having either a recessed socket or a raised cross bar to facilitate turning the pin into engagement with the endbutton. Consequently, due to the placement of a selectable mass in a selected position on a member on the body of a stringed instrument, the tone and feel can be more effectively and repeatably controlled.

A collapsible vehicular trailer 10 using a standard towing dolly 1 as its wheel base. The collapsible vehicular trailer 10 is connected to a tow vehicle by a collapsible V-shaped trailer tongue 11. The collapsible trailer tongue 11 is connected to the tow vehicle by a hitch-ball coupler 15 and at its other end to a pair of base platforms 18 which detachably straddle the axles of towing dolly 1. Base platforms 18 each have a ramp retaining lip 20 located at their trailing edges for detachably engaging ramps 45. A pivot support platform 23 also straddles the two axles of towing dolly 1 and is centered between base platforms 18. Pivot support platform 23 provides a pivotal connecting point for the pivot frame 30 which has opposing wheel cradles 36 and 37 attached to the ends of main pivot frame members 31. The opposing wheel cradles 36 and 37 have a stop plate 41 and wheel retaining chain 39 for securely attaching a pair of wheels on the vehicle to be towed.

Collapsible vehicular trailer

A non-light producing substitute apparatus for use as a replacement for a phosphor energizable lamp in an arrangement where a plurality of such lamps are connected in a series electrical circuit. Typically, two or more phosphor energizable lamps, such as fluorescent lamps, are connected to pairs of spaced apart sockets in a fixture and if one of the lamps is burned out or is removed, there is ineffective operation of the remaining lamp. The substitute apparatus permits one of the series connected lamps to be removed with the other to operate without substantially affecting lumen output of the remaining lamp and power factor loss. The substitute apparatus of the present invention is effective in that it does not necessarily create a connection between the two terminals in the pair of spaced apart sockets from which the lamp was removed. The substitute apparatus creates a grounding of the ballast or similar power generator or other power source which operates the fixture, or otherwise a ground plane in the fixture with respect to the sockets so that at least one of the sockets from which the lamp was removed is at the same ground potential as either the ballast or the ground plane of the fixture. Thus, a different electrical circuit path is established. Moreover, the substitute apparatus of the present invention is effective in that it is relatively small in its construction. The substitute apparatus comprises a relatively small tubular housing which is made of a plastic material and includes a power factor compensating element, such as a capacitor therein. The capacitor has one electrode thereof electrically connected to one of the terminals in the socket to which the lamp was previously connected and the other electrode of the capacitor is grounded. An adaptor may be used with and form part of the apparatus for grounding the terminal or terminals of the opposite socket from which the lamp was removed.

Non-light producing substitute apparatus for use in place of phosphor

A lamp simulator for use as a replacement for a phosphor excitable lamp, such as a fluorescent lamp in a plural lamp fixture. The fixture is typically one with socket-type connectors adapted to have at least two or more phosphor excitable lamps mounted therein. The lamp simulator replaces one or more of the illuminatable lamps in the fixture. The simulator comprises a lamp body or housing having end caps on each of the transverse ends and generally has a size approximately equal to a lamp it replaces. In one embodiment, a capacitor may be physically mounted on one of the end caps and is electrically connected to one of the terminals on the end cap and electrically connected to a terminal on the other of the end caps. Further, the caps may have a diametral size at least slightly greater than the lamp tube such that a plurality of lamps can be packed in a single container without a separate jacket for each lamp. In another embodiment, the lamp is provided with an irregular surface as for example, a plurality of longitudinally extending spaced apart ridges on the interior surface of the lamp housing in order to create light dispersion and substantial elimination of shadows. Thus, the light simulator effectively takes the place of an actual lamp in that it appears as though light is actually coming from the said lamp simulator and thereby simulates an actual lamp. The invention also provides a method of securing an electrode of the capacitor to a terminal on the lamp end cap as well as a method of non-visably perceptably removing phosphor energizable light producing lamps and replacing such lamps with non-light producing lamp simulators.
