A convertible sofa includes a seat and a backrest moveable between a first configuration, in which the backrest is positioned along a back of the seat, and a second configuration, in which the backrest overlies an upper support surface of the seat. The sofa also includes a side wall positioned adjacent a side of the seat to define a recess that forms a leg opening. The sofa further includes a worksurface moveable between a first position, in which the worksurface is disposed within the recess and substantially aligned with a plane defined by the upper support surface of the seat, and a second position, in which the worksurface is spaced above the plane defined by the upper support surface of the seat. At least a portion of the worksurface is covered by the backrest when the worksurface is in the first position and the backrest is in the second configuration.

Convertible sofa

A health care chair includes a base and a seating portion attached to the base. A lift assist mechanism connects the base and seating portion and assists in moving the seating portion from a first reclined position to a second inclined position without electrical power. The chair also includes moveable arms attached to the seating portion that rotate between a first substantially horizontal position and a second substantially vertical position.

A free-standing, partition-type furniture system adapted to subdivide an open space of a room, comprising a plurality of first partition panels, each including a first body portion having a pair of side edges, and a first screen member operably coupled to the first partition panel and laterally shiftable with respect to the first partition panel such that the first screen member extends from one of the side edges of the first body portion. The furniture system also includes a plurality of second partition panels each including a second body portion having an upper edge, and a second screen member operably coupled to the second partition panel and vertically shiftable with respect to the second partition panel such that the second screen member extends from the upper edge of the second body portion. The plurality of first and second partition panels are operably coupleable and arrangeable so as to subdivide the open space of a room.

Office system

A privacy screen is configured for use with systems furniture and the like, such as post and beam arrangements that spatially partition an open office space into multiple workstations each having an interior with an opening into an adjacent space. The privacy screen is shaped to enclose a substantial portion of the opening of an associated workstation, and includes a generally flat lower portion, and a bowed upper portion that extends outwardly from the interior of the workstation to provide within the interior of the workstation a sense of spatial openness, as well as enhanced air and light influx, without detracting substantially from useable space on the opposite side of the privacy screen. The privacy screen may be constructed from a woven fabric with a single layer at the upper portion for greater visual porosity, and two layers at the lower portion for visual privacy.

A seating product is disclosed. The seating product includes a base having a base frame assembly with a pair of side panels. At least one of the side panels has a slot. The seating product also includes a mounting arm having a mounting assembly with a first mounting, bracket adapted to be inserted through the slot in the side panel of the base frame assembly for attachment to the base. An improvement to a seating product with a base and a surface supported by a mounting arm is also disclosed. The improvement includes the base having a base frame assembly with a pair of side panels. The improvement also includes a mounting arm having a mounting assembly with a first mounting bracket adapted to be inserted through a slot in a side panel of the base frame assembly for attachment to the base. The mounting arm may include a worksurface (tablet). The tablet may be coupled for pivotal and/or translating movement with respect to the base. The seating product may be an upholstered chair.

Seating product

A storage unit for use in a work environment includes a base assembly, a top assembly mounted upon the base assembly, and a vertical partition assembly installed between the base assembly and the top assembly dividing a space therebetween into a first section and a second section. The vertical partition assembly may provide a vertical passage so that utilities may be passed between the top assembly to the base assembly and between the first section and the second section. A fixed shelf assembly with an upper vertical partition assembly installed between the fixed shelf assembly and the top assembly may divide an upper space between the fixed shelf assembly and the top assembly into a first upper section and a second upper section. A lower vertical partition assembly is installed between the base and the fixed shelf assembly may divide a lower space between the base assembly and the fixed shelf assembly into a first lower section and a second lower section. A vertical passage may be provided by the top vertical partition assembly and the bottom vertical partition assembly (and through a shelf aperture in the fixed shelf assembly) so that utilities may be passed from the top assembly to the base assembly. The utilities may include any signal, such as voice, power or data. The storage unit may be provided with at least one exterior panel adapted for mounting between the base assembly and the top assembly.

A mobile screen having a 'T'-shape for use on a ground surface is disclosed. The screen includes a base section having at least one panel providing a first surface having a first surface treatment and a second surface having a second surface treatment. The screen may also include an end section having at least one panel providing a first surface having a first surface treatment and a second surface having a second surface treatment. The base section is rigidly coupled to the end section to form the 'T'-shape. At least one surface treatment of the base section or the end section is a functional surface treatment intended to selectively provide for the display of information. The screen may include a base section having a vertical frame member and at least one base panel extending therefrom and an end section having a pair of vertical frame members with at least one end panel extending therebetween. The mobile screen may also be provided with a handle or a tray. An apparatus for use in a work environment providing at least one work space is also disclosed. The apparatus may include at least one mobile screen having at least one panel adapted to display information. The mobile screen may be movable between a first arrangement wherein the work space is formed into at least one work area and at least one second arrangement wherein the work space is formed into at least two work areas. The mobile screen may be provided with casters.
