A method of storage access scheduling for a memory device for a workload of different priority access requests including access requests having a real-time priority. The method includes characterizing the memory device including determining a balanced number (N) of concurrent access requests associated with a concurrent access maximum throughput associated with the memory device. The method also includes characterizing the workload. The method also includes receiving a real-time access request associated with an access request storage location value. The method also includes processing the real-time access request, utilizing a processor, based on the access request storage location value and the values obtained from characterizing the memory device and the workload.

Concurrent request scheduling

Disclosed are various embodiments of various systems that facilitate the printing of documents. In one representative example, one arrangement includes a plurality of raster image processors, a plurality of frame brokers, and a first digital switch facilitating communication between the raster image processors and frame brokers. The arrangement also includes a plurality of printers and a second digital switch facilitating communication between the frame brokers and the printers. A central control system orchestrates a progression of frames of a plurality of documents through the raster image processors and the frame brokers to the printers.

Parallelization in printing

A printing system and method are provided that facilitate the mobile printing of a document. The printing system comprises an automated print agent located in a device coupled to a network. The printing system also comprises a network alias associated with a printer coupled to the network, where the automated print agent acting as a network destination for a transmitted document addressed to the network alias. The automated print agent orchestrates the printing of the transmitted document on the printer upon receipt of the transmitted document from a transmitting device.

System and method for mobile printing

Disclosed are various systems and methods for printing documents. In one embodiment, a printing system is provided that comprises a host and a local printer coupled thereto, the local printer having a portable device communications port with which to establish a communications link a portable device. The local printer includes means for relaying a non-rendered document received via the portable device communications port to the host for rendering. The host includes means in the host for orchestrating a rendering of the non-rendered document into a rendered document with a printer format compatible with the local printer, the non-rendered document being rendered using one of a number of applications in the host, and, means in the host for transmitting a rendered document to the local printer to be printed.

System and method for walk-up printing

A system and method are provided for organizing a number of digital images. The system and method advantageously provide a geographical context for viewing the digital images. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes the steps of associating the number of digital images with a digital map in a computer system, and geographically indexing each of the digital images on the digital map in the computer system. To geographically index each of the digital images, the present invention further provides the steps of obtaining a set of geographical coordinates associated with each of the digital images, and identifying a position on the digital map that represents the geographical coordinates for each of the digital images. In addition, the present method may include the step of positioning an image icon on each of the positions on the digital map, thereby indicating the geographical location of the corresponding digital image.
