An apparatus used in a cooking pot and holding up to thirteen small-to-large chicken eggs for the purpose of steaming the eggs until cooked. The apparatus has a bottom surface with six lower egg supports and one center egg support. Six additional upper egg supports are located radially and alternatingly between six perimeter wall sections. The bottom surface is elevated on legs that allow a small volume of water to be placed under it and heated to steam the eggs. The perimeter walls extend upwardly from the bottom surface above eggs seated on the lower egg supports, each wall section having a beginning slicing guide slot aligned with the centers of seated eggs. Finishing slicing guide slots also extend through the center egg support and each of the lower egg supports to allow a slicing device inserted into the vertically-extending slicing guide slots to cut peeled eggs in half.

Apparatus and method for steaming and slicing eggs

An inline vaporizer disposed in a carrier gas line vaporizes a fluid and adds such vaporized fluid to a carrier gas that flows within the carrier gas line. The vaporizer includes a reservoir or wick that transfers a fluid to a vaporizing element that is adjacent to the reservoir or wick. The vaporizer releases a vapor into the carrier gas line so that the carrier gas flows past the vaporizer to form a vapor and carrier gas mixture.

A shaving apparatus is provided that includes a razor cartridge, a shaving aid dispenser, and a reservoir operable to contain a non-solid shaving aid material. The shaving aid dispenser includes one or more valves disposed within a contact panel. The contact panel is disposed adjacent the cutting edges of the one or more razor blades. Each of the valves is selectively operable between an open position and a closed position. The valves are operated by the normal force of the contact surface applied to the surface to be shaved. The reservoir is in fluid communication with the selectively operable valves.

Shaving apparatus

The present invention is a shaving apparatus that includes a razor cartridge having one or more razor blades, a housing, a flexible bladder, and a handle having an interior cavity and an actuator. The housing includes an exterior surface that is adjacent the razor cartridge and includes one or more ports. The housing is attached to an open end of the flexible bladder such that the one or more ports are in fluid communication with the contents of the flexible bladder. The flexible bladder stores a flowable shaving aid material and is disposed within an interior cavity in the handle. The actuator is operable to collapse the flexible bladder, thereby forcing the flowable shaving aid material from the flexible bladder to the one or more ports. Once the flowable shaving aid material exits the ports, it is dispensed on the surface being shaved adjacent the razor cartridge.

A machine for engaging/disengaging a cover with a microplate. The machine is manually operated by hand crank. By turning the crank in one direction, a user may engage a cover with microplate. Turning the crank in the opposite direction disengages a cover from a microplate. User safety is enhanced by the machine which isolates the user from direct contact with potentially hazardous material and sharp edged covers.

A vacuum system comprises, as an integral assembly, a vacuum pump with drive motor, a purge valve, a roughing valve and an electronic control module. A cryogenic vacuum pump and a turbomolecular vacuum pump are disclosed. The control module has a programmed processor for controlling the motor and valves and is user programmable for establishing specific control sequences. The integral electronic control module is removable from the assembly and is connected to the other devices through a common connector assembly. In the turbomolecular pump system proper introduction of a purge gas through the purge valve is detected by detecting the current load on the pump drive or by detecting foreline pressure. To test the purge gas status, the purge valve may be closed and then opened as drive current or pressure is monitored. After power failure, the controller will continue normal drive of the turbomolecular pump so long as the speed of the pump has remained above a threshold value. Otherwise the vent valve will have been opened, and a start-up sequence must be initiated. During shutdown, power to the pump drive motor is discontinued and the vent valve is opened before the roughing valve is closed.

A scraping tool employing a sharp-edged blade such as a wallpaper shaving blade, utility or razor blade; comprising an integral body and handle, a controllable quick-release blade clamp and latching level to lock and unlock the clamp for access to the blade. Both the clamp and lever are pivotably connected to the body/handle component using the 'snap-fit' technique. The tool includes an integral resilient member for maintaining the clamp closed whenever the tool is unlocked, such that the blade will be retained at all times, until the clamp is purposefully actuated by the user for installation or removal of the blade.

Radar detector housing

A cryogenic vacuum pump includes, in an integral assembly, temperature sensors and heaters associated with the first and second stages of the cryopumping array, a roughing valve and a purge valve. An electronic module removably coupled in the assembly responds to all sensors and controls all operations of the cryopump including regeneration thereof. System parameters are stored in a nonvolatile memory in the module. Included in the regeneration procedures are an auto-zero of the pressure gauge, heating of the array throughout rough pumping, and a change in pressure rate test to determine stall in rough pumping. The electronic module also restarts the system after power failure, limits use of a pressure gauge to safe conditions, provides warnings before allowing opening of the valves while the cryopump is operating and stores sensor calibration information. Control through a control pad on the pump may be limited by a password requirement. Password override is also provided.

Electronically controlled cryopump

Two suction cups are used to stably secure a radar detector or other device to the interior of a windshield of a motor vehicle, yet the suction cups are readily removed from the windshield by application of a single removal force which is applied to the suction cups, preferably simultaneously. The suction cups are each provided with an apertured protrusion or ear. The apertures of the ears receive a release bar which extends between the two cups and permits a single force to release both cups substantially simultaneously. The release bar includes an operating tab which can be activated by a user's thumb or finger(s) while the thumb or finger(s) and palm of one of the user's hands extend under the device. In this way, a radar detector or other device can be mounted by grasping it in one hand and forcing it against the windshield and removed from the windshield by the force of the grasping motion of one hand.
