A recording media containing a raw base substrate having, on its image side, a primary coating layer and a top image receiving layer is described herein. Said top image receiving layer encompasses a polymeric adhesion promoter having a glass transition temperature that is at, or above, 90&#xb0; C. Also described is a printed article containing said recording media on which a printed feature has been formed with an ink composition that encompasses latex components that have a glass transition temperature that is at, or above, 90&#xb0; C.

Recording media

A coating composition includes pigments or a mixture of pigments, a surface active substance and a metal containing polymeric complex. The metal containing polymeric complex contains a metallic salt, a polymeric latex and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), wherein the polyvinyl alcohol has a molecular weight ranging from about 10,000 to about 65,000.

Coating compositions

Interactive d&#xe9;cor and systems and methods of printing an interactive pattern using an inkjet printer are disclosed. An interactive d&#xe9;cor may comprise a substrate, and an interactive pattern printed on the substrate. The interactive pattern is addressable using a reader device, but is substantially indiscernible to a naked eye at a viewing distance. A decorative image is printed over the interactive pattern. The decorative image is predominant to the naked eye.

Personalized wall clocks and kits for making the same are disclosed herein. A kit includes an image receiving medium to receive thereon a personalized digital printed image. The image receiving medium includes a digital ink/toner receiving layer or has a digital ink/toner receiving surface structure. The kit also includes a foldable material which includes a face portion having two opposed surfaces and at least four sides. One opposed surface is to receive the image receiving medium. The foldable material includes a foldable extension extending from each side of the face portion. Each foldable extension is to be folded no less than four times toward another of the opposed surfaces to form a three-dimensional supporting frame. The kit includes a hand-moving mechanism.

A size press (SP) surface sizing composition provides a SP surface sizing for a print medium that is used in a digital printing system. The surface sizing composition includes an aqueous mixture including a macromolecular material in an amount from about 25% to about 75% dry weight; an inorganic metallic salt in an amount from about 3% to about 20% dry weight; and an amount of inorganic pigment ranging from at least 16% to about 60% dry weight, such that a total dry weight equals about 100%.

A printable recording material containing an opaque supporting substrate; a hydrophobic layer; an ink vehicle-receiving layer having a two-layer structure or having bimodal pore size distribution; and an ink colorant-receiving layer comprising inorganic particles. Also disclosed are the method for making such material and the method for producing printed images using said printable recording material.

Recording material

Composite boards are disclosed herein. An example of the composite board includes a first outer layer, a second outer layer, and a middle layer positioned between the first and second outer layers. The first and second outer layers each include chemical pulped cellulose fibers and low moisture absorbing fibers. The middle layer includes the cellulose fibers and a moisture repelling agent. Also disclosed herein are art frames that include the composite boards.

A printable recording material containing an opaque supporting substrate; a resin barrier layer; an ink vehicle-receiving layer having a first structure with inorganic particles and, at least, a binder and a second structure with nano-porous particles and, at least, a binder; and an ink colorant-receiving layer. Frame kits and frames are disclosed herein. In an example, a frame kit includes at least two frame legs. Each frame leg has two edges, where one of the two edges of each frame leg is to abut another of the two edges of an adjacent frame leg when a frame is constructed with the frame legs. Each frame leg includes a non-foamed polymer exterior wall; a hollow space defined by the non-foamed polymer exterior wall; and an expanded foam material positioned within the hollow space.

A method includes defining a surface within a first captured image of an environment. The defined surface is identified in a second captured image of the environment. A graphic is overlaid on the surface identified in the second captured image. The second captured image is caused to be displayed to preview the graphic in the environment.

The present invention provides for a print media comprising an image receiving layer comprising a latex ink film-forming aid. The present invention also provides for a method of forming an image using a latex ink and a print media coated with an image receiving layer comprising a latex ink film-forming aid. The present invention also provides for a printed product comprising a latex ink printed on a print media comprising an image receiving layer comprising a latex ink film-forming aid.
