A valve apparatus for an inflatable article, wherein the inflatable article includes a main body and a moveable portion. The valve includes a valve body and a baffle. The valve body includes first and second chambers and first, second and third openings. The baffle is moveable between first and second positions. The first chamber includes the first and second openings, while the first opening forms a first fluid communication between the main body and the first chamber. The second chamber includes the second and third openings, while the third opening forms a second fluid communication between the second chamber and an ambient atmosphere. When in the first position, the baffle seals the first opening and when in the second position, the baffle seals the third opening.

Apparatus for affecting motion in an inflatable display

A dispensing device having a housing capable of receiving a pre-packaged charge of pre-whipped topping or icing. The housing has an inner wall with a slot formed therein for receiving a rack that is capable of rotational and translational motion within the slot. The rack has a set of gear teeth that engage with a catch on a plunger. The piston moves in the axial direction to force the pre-whipped topping or icing through the outlet in its packaging. The catch on the piston is locked in one direction and pivots in the opposite direction such that the rack engages with the piston when it moves in a first direction and the rack disengages with the piston when it is moved in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Dispensing device

A mobile mountable to an infant support structure includes a housing having a drive mechanism, a support arm extending from the housing, and an assembly supported from the support arm. The support arm is connected to the drive mechanism and movable relative to the housing in first and second opposite directions. The assembly includes a hub, a motion portion, and a hanging portion. The motion portion has a resilient component coupled to the hanging portion, which drives the hanging portion in a third direction when the support arm moves in the first direction.

Mobile for infant support structure

Outer and inner inflatable members and a motor assembly including a fan are disposed on a base member. Air provided under pressure by the motor assembly including the fan passes through vents in the base member to inflate the inflatable members. Flakes are disposed in the space between the inflatable members. One vent, larger than the others, provides for the flakes to be lifted upwardly from the base member by the pressurized air. At least another vent in the base member provides for a movement of the flakes by the pressurized air in an annular direction in the space between the inflatable members. A permeable cap disposed on the outer inflatable member limits the pressure in the outer and inner inflatable members to a particular value.

An improved amphibious shoe () with a swim fin structure which extends for swimming and folds for walking. The amphibious shoe has, in one embodiment, an elastic connection member (A,B) movably connecting the shoe portion () of the shoe to the fin portion () of the shoe. The elastic connection member maintains the relative positions of the shoe portion and fin portion in a swimming mode and a walking mode. In another embodiment, the shoe portion has a female recess (A,B) for insertion of a corresponding male extension portion (A,B) in the fin portion. Another embodiment includes a locking member (B,B) and a locking plate (B), wherein the locking plate defines a keyhole slot having a wide portion and a narrow portion, permitting conversion between walking mode and swimming mode when a lateral force is applied.

Amphibious shoe

A hoop having an adjustable diameter and including a fixed portion and an adjustable portion. The adjustable portion can be disposed in an extended configuration and a collapsed configuration. A user can vary the diameter of the hoop by moving a first end of the adjustable member with respect to a second end of the adjustable member.

A toy saxophone is disclosed having a mouthpiece, a sound-emitting mechanism, a bubble-blowing mechanism, and air tubes connecting the mouthpiece to the sound-emitting and bubble-blowing mechanisms. The toy saxophone further has an actuating mechanism comprising a manually depressible button coupled to the sound-emitting and bubble-blowing mechanisms whereby simultaneously blowing into the mouthpiece and depressing the button causes sound to be emitted from the sound-emitting mechanism and bubbles to be blown from the bubble-blowing mechanism.

A teeter-totter is disclosed that simultaneously incrementally rotates as it pivots up-and-down. The teeter-totter comprises a base having a fulcrum about which a beam is pivotally mounted for up-and-down movement. The beam is coupled to the fulcrum by a mechanism that simultaneously incrementally rotates the beam upon movement of the beam in at least one of the up-and-down directions.

A toy top launcher simulating a space shuttle is disclosed for launching a rotating top having a circular enlarged end and a gear adjacent the opposite end onto a flat surface. The top launcher has a chamber for supporting the enlarged ends of a plurality of tops is a row. A discharge station is provided for discharging the leading top from the chamber to a starting launching position on a launch pad. The launch pad has a pair of spaced elongated edges defining an open-ended elongated slot having a gear track along one edge thereof. A launch slider is mounted for reciprocal movement on the launch pad, and in one direction of movement engages the top and urges the gear thereof into meshing engagement with the gear rack. Further movement of the slider imparts rotation and forward motion to the top, expelling the top from the open-end of the slot.
