A storage system and a refrigeration appliance includes the storage system for storing food items in a temperature-controlled environment. The storage system includes a rail attached to a liner panel. The rail includes at least one mounting structure that is partially embedded within the liner panel. The storage system further includes an accessory. The accessory has an arm extending from a rear surface of the accessory. The accessory is placed in a storage position. The arm is placed between the rail and the liner panel when the accessory is placed in the storage position.

Rail door storage system

A door for a refrigerator appliance is pivotally connected by a hinge. The door includes a polygonal shell having corners and defining at least part of a cavity therein and a hinge bearing mounted to the polygonal shell adjacent one of the corners. The hinge bearing extends into the cavity and defines a generally cylindrical passage to receive and journal a hinge pin of the refrigerator appliance. A reinforcement tube is secured to the hinge bearing and extends a distance within the cavity. The reinforcement tube includes a sidewall that defines a hollow interior, and at least one hole extends through the sidewall to provide communication between the cavity and the hollow interior. Insulation is foamed in place that substantially fills the cavity including the corner, and the insulation penetrates into the hollow interior of the reinforcement tube via the at least one hole.

Insulated door assembly

According to embodiments of the present invention, a dishwasher may provide an intensified wash effect. The dishwasher may include a rack defining a bottom and a sidewall, wherein the rack is adapted to receive dishware therein. A dishwashing fluid supply channel may be configured to supply dishwashing fluid to a spray assembly. The spray assembly may comprise at least one nozzle member. Thereby, the spray assembly may be adapted to receive the dishwashing fluid from the dishwashing fluid supply channel and to dispense the dishwashing fluid therethrough. The spray assembly may be coupled to the sidewall of the rack. Further, the nozzle member may be attached to an arm which is moveable between at least a first position wherein the arm is adjacent the sidewall of the rack and a second position wherein the arm is adjacent the bottom of the rack.

Fluid circulation arrangement for providing an intensified wash effect in a dishwasher and an associated method

A filtration system for a dishwasher, and an associated apparatus and method, are provided, comprising a macerator chamber adapted to house a macerator device. The macerator chamber is configured to receive washing fluid for the macerator device to comminute contaminants within the washing fluid. A drain chamber is in fluid communication with the macerator chamber and is configured to receive the washing fluid and comminuted contaminants therefrom via a fluid port therebetween. The drain chamber has a vented member associated therewith, which defines at least one first vent providing fluid communication between the drain chamber and the washing fluid circulation system. The vented member is spaced apart from the fluid port, and is configured to strain the comminuted contaminants from the washing fluid so as to retain the comminuted contaminants within the drain chamber while allowing the washing fluid to pass therethrough to the washing fluid circulation system.

Filtration system for a dishwasher, and associated apparatus and method

A basket assembly for holding items such as silverware and the like in a dishwashing appliance is provided. The dishwashing appliance has a rack member movable into and out of a tub portion, wherein the basket assembly is received and supported by the rack member. The basket assembly comprises a plurality of wall members cooperating to form a compartment defining a compartment opening. A lid member is coupled to the compartment about the compartment opening. The lid member defines a lid plane and is configured to be pivotable about a pivot axis, disposed medially across the lid member and extending along the lid plane, between a first position with the lid member extending across the compartment opening, and a second position with the lid member extending substantially perpendicularly to the compartment opening. An associated apparatus is also provided.
