An omnidirectional backflow preventer and vacuum breaker for use with a plumbing fixture in which the discharge may be moved to a position within a body of water includes a body having an inlet and an outlet, a chamber connecting the inlet and outlet and an air vent opening into the chamber. There is a diaphragm positioned within the chamber which normally closes communication between the inlet and outlet. The diaphram prevents water seepage from the outlet from reaching the air vent and has an integral one-way check valve positioned at the inlet which permits air from the vent to pass to the inlet to remove a vacuum condition therein.

A back flow preventer and vacuum breaker for use with a plumbing fixture in which the discharge may be moved to a position within a body of water includes a body having an inlet and an outlet, a chamber connecting the inlet and outlet and an air vent opening into the chamber. There is a first diaphragm positioned within the chamber which controls air flow through the vent. There is a second diaphragm positioned in the chamber which controls flow from the inlet into the chamber and includes an integral check valve extending into the outlet.

Back flow preventer and integral vacuum breaker

A rising type faucet assembly, for example for use in the kitchen, has a support base adapted to be mounted on a sink deck and a spout housing and spout mounted on the support base. An elongated sleeve extends within the support base and is attached to the spout housing. The sleeve includes means cooperating with the support base for releasably positioning the sleeve and spout housing at a raised height above the support base. A water inlet is connected to a lower end of the sleeve. A diverter assembly is positioned at an upper end of the sleeve. The lowermost position of the diverter assembly, when the spout housing and spout are positioned directly on the support base, is above the sink deck. There is an inlet water passage in the sleeve between the inlet and the diverter assembly. There is an auxiliary outlet in the sleeve at a lower portion thereof and an outlet water passage in the sleeve between the diverter assembly and outlet.
