A system for selecting a candidate advertisement for linking to a web page based on the content of the web page. The content of the web page may be automatically determined and then compared to content of the candidate advertisement to determine which candidate advertisement to select. The system can be used to implement a structured advertising system for the World Wide Web. Web pages are searched and indexed, producing indexed content data. This indexed content data may be ranked according to relevancy. The ranked content data are compared to content data of advertisements and an advertisement is selected. The advertisement may be copied onto (linked to) the Web page. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

The content of the given information unit may be automatically determined and then compared to content of the candidate information unit to determine which unit of candidate information to select. When the unit of candidate information is selected, it bears a chosen given information unit and it is linked with the given information unit. A first printed circuit board has a contact area, and a second printed circuit board has a contact area. An electrically conductive band is to couple the contact area of the first printed circuit board to the contact area of the second printed circuit board. An information report is used to signal a problem with a computer system and to provide information about the problem. The information report contains only relevant information, thereby decreasing the bandwidth required to send the information report, and the time required for a technician to review the information report. Information about the problem with the computer system is input by a user of the computer system. This information, together with information stored in a diagnostic tree, is used to limit the scope of an automatic information retrieval. An information report is produced from the results of the automatic information retrieval.

High-level graphics commands are intercepted by a multi-resolution system mimicking a display driver. High-level graphics commands are interpolated using a resolution conversion ratio. Modified high-level graphics commands are sent to the true display driver and an image is displayed at an apparent resolution lower than the background resolution. This enables a user to optimize the display of computer data depending on the program outputting that data and the user's requirements.

A compact expansion card to replace an Extended Industry Standard Architecture (EISA) card. An EISA card has an edge connector of 188 pins of a given width and a given gap between pins, in 5.5 inches, two rows on a front of the EISA card and two rows on a back of the EISA card. The 188 pins include 157 signal pins, 10 pins dedicated to a +5 volt supply, and 18 pins dedicated to ground. The compact expansion card has an edge connector of 162 pins in 4.5 inches in two rows, one row of 81 pins on a front of the compact card and one row of 81 pins on a back of the compact card, a gap between each of the 162 pins being the same as the given gap between pins of the EISA card. The 162 pins include 157 signal pins, one +5 volt pin dedicated to a +5 volt supply, and one ground pin dedicated to ground. The 157 signal pins are of the same given width as the 157 signal pins of the EISA card. The +5 volt pin is a ten times multiple in width of a signal pin to carry electrical currents that are higher than currents through a signal pin.
