A vented metal can end is provided. The can end includes a tab and a tab rivet. The can end includes an outer score and a vent score. The vent score is formed in the end wall and located beneath the nose of the tab. The vent score is positioned such that the tab rivet is located between the vent score and the center point of the end wall and the vent score is also located between the outer score and the tab rivet.

The invention comprises a device and method for impacting the behavior of invertebrates that infest wood, without the use of chemicals. In particular, the invention is useful for impacting the behavior of wood-boring invertebrates, which infest wood products, lumber and the woody portions of plants and trees. The invention utilizes acoustic (sonic) agents which may be optionally modulated with specific signals, to cause negative effects on the normal behaviors exhibited by wood-infesting invertebrates, which may result in the invertebrates being injured or killed, unable to reproduce, or caused to flee the wood that the invertebrates are infesting.

A reinforced composite system for constructing insulated concrete structures comprising, panels having a foam plastic core between outside and inside reinforcement layers, reinforcement layers substantially strengthen the panels during material handling and construction, greatly reducing deflection of the panels between studs when placing concrete allowing walls to be filled in one lift. Panels are placed horizontally in an opposing and parallel spaced-apart relation. Opposing panels are placed end to end in rows and stacked vertically, rows of panels being staggered from each other so panel ends in adjacent rows do not line up vertically. Vertical studs are embedded in panels extending the full height of the panels, each stud having a flange for receiving mechanical fasteners and groove for receiving spreaders. A plurality of spreaders at each stud location extend between opposing panels and slidably engaging the studs in opposing panels. Spreaders are stacked vertically in such a manner as to engage studs half their height above and below the horizontal joints between rows of panels. Each spreader has opposing flanges connected by horizontal members, horizontal members having multiple formations, when spreaders are stacked the formations compliment each other allowing wall reinforcement bars to be restrained in any preferred location. Hollow horizontal stiffeners may be utilized to accommodate electrical wiring. Locations of vertical studs are shown by markings on the exterior of panels. Hinged corner forms and bearing ledge forms can be shipped flat and rotated into position on site.

Reinforced composite system for constructing insulated concrete structures

A flexible manufacturing press assembly for the processing of sheet material through punching and forming operations having a plurality of tool assemblies of which each, in turn, group and support a plurality of processing tools. Each tool assembly has a punch magazine, a die block, and a stripper plate for processing the sheet material in the manner of a Class A die. A sheet material positioning assembly clamps the sheet material and positions it within a two-axis plane adjacent the tool assemblies. A punching head assembly, supported by the sheet material positioning assembly, positions a punching head adjacent the grouped tool supports. A selective transmitting assembly is supported by the punching head assembly and has a selector member that is linearly positioned and is furthermore rotatable to position a selected one of a plurality of contact faces to a striking position to enable the transmitting of a punching force from the punching head assembly to one or more selected tools within one of the tool assemblies.

Flexible manufacturing press assembly

A system for constructing insulated concrete structures comprising panels molded from a closed cell foam plastic, with a facing material attached to the outside surface of panels adding substantial strength to panels during material handling and construction, providing a substrate for finish materials and adding UV resistance to panel surfaces. Panels are placed horizontally in an opposing and parallel spaced-apart relationship. Vertical studs are embedded in panels extending the full height of the panels, each stud has a flange and groove connected with a web. Spreaders slide vertically into the grooves of studs in opposing panels creating a form with a cavity between panels. Each spreader has opposing flanges connected by horizontal members, horizontal members having multiple formations, thus when spreaders are stacked the formations compliment each other allowing wall reinforcing to be locked in any preferred location. A chase way is provided in panels to accommodate electrical wiring. Locations of studs and chase ways are shown by markings on the facing. Reinforcing clips provide additional means for securing wall reinforcing to maintain proper alignment. Panels are placed horizontally end to end in rows and stacked vertically, rows of panels being staggered from each other so panel ends in adjacent rows do not line up vertically. Spreaders are stacked vertically in such a manner as to engage studs half their height above and below horizontal joints between rows of panels. Hinged forms, corner forms and bearing ledge forms are also provided for versatility in constructing the above mentioned insulated concrete structures.

Linear punch press

A linear punch press for punching sheet material is formed by an X axis central support frame having a coextensive laterally spaced parallel support table on either side. Medically located relative to its ends the central frame supports a punch station including fixed position punch and die adaptors which respectively support a cooperating punch and die. A workpiece supporting and positioning frame is longitudinally slidably supported by the central frame and in turn supports a punch head movable longitudinally of the central frame within the workpiece frame. A Y axis conveyor drive extends there between and is slidably supported at one end by the respective support table and is connected at its other end with the workpiece support frame for moving a workpiece transversely through the central support frame.

Linear type punch press

A meter (10) for measuring extremely-low-frequency radiation includes a coil circuit (22) whose output is filtered by a sharp-cut-off high-pass filter (24) to pass standard house-current frequencies but suppress the frequency components that would predominate as a result of movement of the meter with respect to the earth's magnetic field. An integrator (26) compensates for the frequency response of the coil circuit (22), an RMS circuit (35) converts the signal to its root-mean-square value, and a display circuit (28) provides a display determined by the resultant signal.
