A heating system is configured to optimize the speed and accuracy of the system in achieving various ambient air temperature setpoints, by modulating the heated water supply water setpoint to optimize the slope of the system's response curve. Optimized response curves are automatically determined by analyzing differences between ambient air temperatures over time in response to modulated supply water temperatures as they are reset upward or downward to achieve response times prioritized for improved occupant comfort. The controller of the heating system calculates a temperature slope, and adjusts the supply water setpoint to increase/decrease the speed of ambient temperature rise to achieve a desired slope.

Response slope based hydronic control system and method

A thermostat assembly powered by line voltage and capable of wireless communication with a heat source, comprising a first portion and a second portion separated by a barrier. The first portion receives power via internal housing wiring at a first high voltage level and converts the power from the first high voltage level to a second low voltage level. The second portion is removably connected to the first portions to receive power at the second low voltage level, which powers at least a temperature sensor that measures an ambient temperature of an outside environment and a communication chip for wireless communication with a primary heat source. The barrier inhibits dissipation of heat between the first and second portions to reduce an effect of a temperature of the first portion on the temperature sensor, and prevents a user from contacting any high voltage components when the second portion is removed.

In one embodiment, a head worn computer comprising a housing, wherein the housing includes at least one spring applying inward force to a user's head, a plurality of regions, the regions being able to be flexible regions or stiff regions, and two end regions, configured to wrap around a portion of the user's head, such that the two end regions are located at the front of the user's head, and each of the two end regions are on opposite sides of the user's head. In another embodiment, a method of configuring a head worn computer to a user, using the above mentioned head worn computer.

In one embodiment, collapsible head mounted computer (CHMC) transforms between a collapsed and headset form via joints embedded in the structure of the headset. Joints can be in the back or sides of the CHMC. The CHMC in the headset form is configured to be mounted on the user's head. The headset form presents the display in front of the user's eye, or in the peripheral vision of the user's eye. The CHMC in the collapsed form is designed to minimize empty space to fill a smaller volume. In this manner, the CHMC can be stored away easily. The CHMC may also include an electronics module enabling onboard processing or an onboard power source to operate electronics modules and a display without an outside electrical connection. The CMHC may also employ near field communication on circuit board near joints to allow for communication regardless of the form of the device.

A device for retrieving data from or writing data to a storage medium that includes a heating element to reduce signal distortion in a data storage system. The device includes a head having an interfacing surface that faces a medium surface of the storage medium and interacts with the storage medium. The heating element is disposed on or near the interfacing surface to supply thermal energy to the interfacing surface maintain said interfacing surface at a temperature higher than a temperature of the medium surface.
