An improved tentless continuous mailer assembly including front and back plies, one of the plies having die-cut apertures extending a short distance inwardly from the left and right margins, the other ply having a longer die-cut aperture extending between the short apertures such that each mailer is connected to an adjacent mailer by the equivalent of only one ply.

Continuous mailer assembly

The apparatus for folding and sealing a mailer blank includes a water applicator for activating remoistenable glue strips or lines on the mailer blank prior to folding into a mailer or envelope. The glue is disposed along the longitudinal edges as well as a transverse edge. One mailer section forms a flap with glue for sealing the mailer.

One-piece mailer and apparatus for folding same

This invention relates to an improved tentless mailer assembly and a method of fabricating the same. The mailer assembly is formed as a continuous assembly composed of a plurality of interconnected units that can be disposed in a stacked arry.

The continuous mailer assembly has mailer units in which one of the back or front plies is either completely severed from the adjacent ply or connected to the adjacent ply by a weak hinge connection. In either case, tenting is avoided when the mailer assembly is unfolded from a stacked condition.

Tentless continuous mailer assembly

The peel-back mailer has a front ply which can be peeled off to expose inserts and a return mail envelope. In addition, a tab portion on an intermediate ply is secured to the front ply so as to be simultaneously removed during peeling off of the front ply. The exposed flap on the back ply is foldable to seal the return envelope and carries adhesive for this purpose.

Peel back mailer

The continuous mailer is provided with a removable tab portion along the top or bottom edge of the back ply. The tab portion has a free flap at one end which can be lifted so that the tab portion can be easily grasped and stripped from the mailer. Removal of the tab portion not only exposes a return mail envelope within the pocket of the continuous mailer but also effects removal of a tab portion on a rear ply of the return mail envelope. The tab portion on the front ply of the return mail envelope can be folded over to seal the pocket of the return mail envelope.
