A heating assembly can include a switching valve which can include certain pressure sensitive features. These features can be configured to change from a first position to a second position based on a pressure of a fuel. The valve can be used with either a first fuel or a second fuel different from the first. The valve can become locked or be held in either the first or the second position. For example, a set fuel pressure can cause the valve to move to a closed position and the valve can become locked or held in that position. If the pressure decreases, the valve can remain in the locked position. Actuation of a reset switch can allow the valve to move to a new position, such as an open position.

A heating assembly can include a locking valve with a reset switch which can include certain pressure sensitive features. A heater assembly can be used with a gas appliance. The gas appliance can be a dual fuel appliance for use with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heater assembly can include a housing, and an actuation member. The housing has a first fuel hook-up for connecting the first fuel type to the heater assembly, a second fuel hook-up for connecting the second fuel type to the heater assembly, and an internal valve. The actuation member can control the position of the internal valve based on whether the first or the second fuel hook-up is used.

These features can include, fuel selector valves, pressure regulators, burner nozzles, and oxygen depletion sensor nozzles, among other features.

A dual fuel heating system can be used in a gas appliance. A dual fuel heating system can have a fuel selector valve for selecting between a first fuel and a second fuel different from the first. The dual fuel heating system can include a regulator unit configured to regulate the pressure of the two different fuels. The selector valve determines which flow path for which fuel is open and which is closed.

A dual fuel heating source can have a burner and a nozzle. The heating source can be configured to use one of two different fuels flowing at different pressures. The nozzle can have a body, the body defining an outlet opening, an inlet, and an inner chamber. The nozzle can be configured for the first fuel in a first position of said nozzle, and can be configured for a second fuel in a second position.

An additive heat transfer unit (AHTU) can be part of or added to an air source heat pump HVAC system. The heat pump system can include a compressor, an expansion valve, first and second air source heat exchangers, and a reversing valve. The system can have a cooling mode and a heating mode, such that in the cooling mode the first air source heat exchanger functions as an evaporator and the second air source heat exchanger functions as a condenser, this being reversed in the heating mode. The AHTU can include a liquid source heat exchanger that can be used to increase the efficiency of the system.

A heater assembly can be used with a gas appliance. The gas appliance can be a dual fuel appliance for use with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heater assembly can include at least one pressure regulator, a housing, and an actuation member. The housing has a first fuel hook-up for connecting the first fuel type to the heater assembly, a second fuel hook-up for connecting the second fuel type to the heater assembly, and an internal valve. The actuation member can control the position of the internal valve based on whether the first or the second fuel hook-up is used.

A heating assembly can include a gas hook-up and a pressure switch. The pressure switch can be in fluid communication with the gas hook-up and be movable at a predetermined threshold pressure from a first position to a second position. The pressure switch can be further configured such that if a fuel is connected to the gas hook-up that has a delivery pressure either above the predetermined threshold pressure in one situation or below the predetermined threshold pressure in another, the fuel will act on the pressure switch to move it from the first position to the second position.

Heating assembly

A heating apparatus may include a control valve assembly. A control valve assembly can have a housing and a valve body positioned within the housing. The housing can define an inlet and first and second outlets. The control valve assembly can also include an igniter having a sensor for firing an electrode. An extension can be used to activate the sensor and to thereby activate the igniter.

A portable heater provided with one or more pre-start indicator elements. The pre-start indicator element may emit an attention identifier indicative of the imminent start of heat production of the portable heater. The indicator element may be an audible and/or visual indicator element. The pre-start indicator element may alert during one or both of a manual and thermostat operation mode of a portable heater.

A gas-fueled heater can have a housing with pressure regulators, a control valve, a fluid selection valve and a burner positioned therein. The pressure regulators, control valve, fluid selection valve and burner can be configured to combust a fuel to create heat. The housing can include a number of holes passing therethrough to control access to the various components.

A heating assembly can be used with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heating assembly can a include housing have a first actuation member and a second actuation member. The first and second actuation members can be positioned within respective first and second fuel hook-ups. The first and second actuation members can be configured such that connecting a fuel source to the heater assembly moves one of the actuation members from a first position to a second position to control flow through the heating assembly.
