An example fluid handling system for a printer is disclosed. In an implementation, the fluid handling system includes a first compartment, a second compartment, and a fluid port. The first compartment is fluidly coupled to the second compartment through the fluid port and the first compartment, second compartment and fluid port are disposable within a printer. In addition, the fluid handling system includes a barrier disposed within the fluid port. The barrier separates the fluid port into a first channel and a second channel, wherein the barrier is movable within the fluid port.

An example of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a feeder tank to provide print fluid to a nozzle. The feeder tank is disposed below the nozzle to maintain a backpressure. The apparatus also includes a vent port to vent the feeder tank to atmosphere. The apparatus further includes an overflow chamber in fluidic communication with the feeder tank. The overflow chamber is disposed below the nozzle. In addition, the apparatus includes a return channel disposed on the overflow chamber to allow print fluid in the overflow chamber to return to the feeder tank.

An ink cartridge for an inkjet printer includes a bottom face and a front face; an ink interface on the front face of the ink cartridge for connection to a cartridge receiving structure; a guide interface in the bottom face for guiding the cartridge along a straight line during insertion into the cartridge receiving structure for connecting the ink interface; a latch track disposed in the bottom face of the ink cartridge to guide a latch of the cartridge receiving structure; a latch stop disposed in the latch track for engaging the latch, where the latch track comprises a locking track and an unlocking track to accommodate movement of the latch with respect to the latch stop, the locking track being at least partly separate from the unlocking track; and a latch guide for redirecting the latch towards the locking track, rather than the unlocking track.

Fluid cartridge

Priming printheads can, in various examples, include moving a movable member of a printhead from a first position to a second position, measuring a response time of the movable member to move from the first position to the second position, and identifying the printhead as primed.

The latch track includes a locking track and an unlocking track to accommodate movement of the latch with respect to the latch stop, the locking track being at least partly separate from the unlocking track, the movement of the latch being along the locking track into a locked engagement position at insertion, and along the unlocking track into an unlocked position at ejection.

An ink cartridge for an inkjet printer includes a bottom face and a front face; interfaces on the front face for connection to a cartridge receiving structure, the interfaces including an ink interface; a guide interface in the bottom face for guiding the cartridge along a straight line for connecting the interfaces; and a latch stop and a latch track, disposed in the bottom face, to guide and retain a latch of the cartridge receiving structure.

In one embodiment, a fluid ejector assembly includes: a bay for holding a detachable fluid container that includes a fluid outlet at a forward part of the container; a fluid ejector; a fluid inlet at a forward part of the bay through which fluid from the outlet of a fluid container installed in the bay may pass to the fluid ejector; and a stationary guide configured to block an improper installation of a fluid container into the bay without also blocking a proper installation of the fluid container into the bay.
