Spindle

A method in a printer comprising a first printhead to dispense a first printing fluid and a second printhead to dispense a second printing fluid, the first and second printheads being arranged on a common scan axis that is substantially perpendicular to a media advance direction. The method comprises controlling movement of the first and second printheads relative to a media being printed, between a first index position and a second index position, the second index position being downstream of the first index position, and wherein the movement occurs during a time period between a forward scan and a reverse scan of the first and second printheads across a media being printed.

Methods for curing ink printed on a print medium are disclosed. The methods comprise heating air to a temperature suitable for curing the ink, and blowing the air through a plurality of holes onto the print medium.

Printing apparatus and methods

In one example, a platen for supporting a print substrate includes multiple support surfaces that together define the full extent of a substrate support area of the platen. Each support surface is oriented parallel to other support surfaces along a line that is oblique to a direction the print substrate is to pass over the support surfaces when the platen is in use in a printer or other liquid dispenser.

A printer accessory comprises a base having a top surface and a bottom surface, and an ink absorber having a thickness in accordance with an example of the present disclosure. The ink absorber rests on the top surface and includes an absorbent material to retain excess ink from a printing operation. Furthermore, the accessory includes print media supports connected to the base and extending beyond the thickness of the ink absorber, wherein when print media is present, the print media spans the print media supports without contacting the ink absorber. An attachment clip is connected to the base having a resiliently flexible portion to releasably secure the printer accessory to a printer.

A system of printing borderless images on printable media includes at least one sheet of printable media including an imaging surface and a non-imaging surface. The system further includes a removable extension strip having a front surface with an adhesive zone and a non-adhesive zone, a non-adhesive back surface, and a straight line of demarkation between the adhesive and non-adhesive zones. The adhesive zone is configured to removably adhere to the non-imaging surface, and the straight line of demarkation is configured as a placement guide for adhering the adhesive zone of the extension strip to the media. An associated method includes adhering an adhesive portion of removable extension strip to a non-imaging surface proximate a trailing edge of the media, and ink-jet printing an image on an imaging surface of the media using an ink-jet printer. The strip is used by rollers in the printer to advance the media.
