A wall panel for installation on a supporting wall includes a facing surface that includes a plurality of separate and spaced apart design elements. The design elements define a channel therebetween. The panel also includes a backing surface having at least one rib opposite the channel. The rib extends transversely across the backing surface, such as a parallel to one of the upper or lower edges of the panel or at an angle between 0 and 90 relative to one of the upper or lower edges of panel. Fasteners are engagable through the channel and the rib for securing the wall panel to the supporting wall. Upon installation of the wall panel on the supporting wall, one or more air gaps are defined by the rib and the backing surface opposite the design elements. The rib provides additional material opposite the channel to prevent the panel from breaking during installation.

A cast veneer wall panel includes a backing panel having a rear face and a front face. The front face includes a boundary wall and a continuous abutment extending around a perimeter of a casting field. The cast veneer wall panel further includes a facing panel formed from a cast material that is received and held within the casting field. The facing panel includes at least one design element.

A cast veneer wall panel includes a facing panel having at least one design element. The facing panel is made from a cast material. In addition the wall panel includes a backing panel including a series of spaced apertures. The series of spaced apertures receive a portion of the cast material in order to key the facing panel and the backing panel together.

A quoin formed of individual over-mount corner units constructed as simulated brick to match the adjoining wall panels forming the exterior cover of an exterior wall of a building is provided. The corner units are formed with a front portion configured as courses of brick separated by mortar joints joined to a rear plate that provides a support frame for the corner unit. Multiple standoffs are positioned on the rear plate opposite mortar joints formed on the front portion to provide a location for driving fasteners to mount the corner unit onto the building substructure. The overlapping nature of the corner units with respect to the wall panels allows the wall panels to be cut imprecisely at the exterior corner. The standoffs maintain a predetermined spacing between the building substructure and the rear plate to establish a channel for the drainage of moisture due to condensation or rain infiltration.
