A pneumatic tire and a process to retread a tire is provided. The retreaded tire has a carcass and a crown region, wherein the crown region comprises a belt reinforcement structure located between the carcass and a tread. The retreaded tire further comprises a cementless cushion layer located radially outward of said belt reinforcement structure, and one or more reinforcement plies located radially outward of the cementless cushion layer. The one or more reinforcement plies is formed from a substantially continuous strip of reinforced elastomer which is wound from one side of the crown to the other side in a substantially continuous manner. The reinforcement ply may be formed from spirally winding the strip about the carcass, or one or more reinforcement plies may be formed from winding the strip about the carcass in a zigzag pattern.

Tire tread

An apparatus for retrofitting the opening of the neck of a bottle with a screw closure. An insert is provided that is configured to be positioned within the neck of the bottle for receiving the external threads of the lower end of a screw closure which is inserted into the opening of the bottle and rotated for securement therein. In one embodiment the insert may be secured in the neck by an adhesive. The positioning of the threads in the lower portion of the neck of the bottle affords a smooth and consistent pour of the wine from the bottle.

A combination bottle and screw closure for containing wine therein. The bottle includes internally disposed threads within a lower portion of the neck of the bottle for receiving the external threads of the lower end of a screw closure which is inserted into the opening of the bottle and rotated for securement therein. The positioning of the threads in the lower portion of the neck of the bottle affords a smooth and consistent pour of the wine from the bottle. In an alternative embodiment, the opening of the bottle and the screw closure are provided with a tamper resistant features to prevent opening of the bottle by a child. In a third embodiment, an insert and complementary screw closure are provided for retrofitting existing wine bottles not having internally disposed threads.

An aircraft tire 10 has at least one circumferentially extending reinforcement insert. At least one reinforcement insert 90 is located on one side of the tire. Each insert 90 preferably has two cord reinforced members 91,92 having bias angled cords. The cords are equal but opposite in orientation relative to the cords of the adjacent member. The pairs of reinforced members 91,92 extend from the bead portion 18,20 and terminate in a radially upper portion of the sidewall 14A,16A. Each pair of reinforced members 91,92 is interposed between the carcass plies 36,37,38,39,40,41, and the sidewall of the tire 10. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the inserts 90 are located on only one side of the tire. Alternatively, the inserts can be symmetrically added to each side of the tire.

The present invention relates to a bias pneumatic tire having a belt structure comprising six annular layers. The tire of the present invention has particular utility as an aircraft tire and avoids many of the undesirable stresses/strains resulting from the deformation in the tread areas of the tire.
