Connecting the first device under test to a load based at least on a closed high-side driver relay and a closed low-side driver relay for a first switch, from a plurality of devices under test. Closing at a first rate a high-side driver relay of a first switch based at least on the received selection. Closing at a second rate a low-side driver relay of the first switch based at least on the received selection, wherein the first rate and second rate are different.

Method and strategy for multiplexing battery cycler hardware

A heating system and a method for heating a battery module are provided. The method includes determining if a temperature signal indicates that the temperature level of the battery module is less than a threshold temperature level. If the temperature level is less than a threshold temperature level, and a first battery cell group is not electrically balanced with a second battery cell group, then the method includes selecting at least one of the first and second battery cell groups to be at least partially discharged. If the first battery cell group is selected, then the method includes partially discharging the first battery cell group through a first resistor to generate heat energy.

Heating system for a battery module and method of heating the battery module

A heating system and a method for heating a battery module are provided. The method includes generating a first signal indicative of a first voltage level being output by a first battery cell group, and generating a second signal indicative of a second voltage level being output by a second battery cell group. The method includes generating a temperature signal indicative of a temperature level of at least one of the first battery cell group and the second battery cell group. If the temperature level is less than a threshold temperature level, and the first battery cell group is not electrically balanced with the second battery cell group then the method includes selecting one of the first and second battery cell groups to be at least partially discharged through a resistor to generate heat energy in the resistor.

A heating system and a method for heating a battery module are provided. The method includes determining if the temperature signal indicates that the temperature level is less than a threshold temperature level. If the temperature level is less than the threshold temperature level, then the method further includes generating a first control signal to induce the switch to have the first operational position to at least partially discharge the first and second battery cell groups through a resistor to generate heat energy in the resistor. The method further includes generating a second control signal to turn on a fan to distribute the heat energy in the battery module to increase a temperature level of the battery module.

A heating system and a method for heating a battery module are provided. The method includes generating a temperature signal indicative of a temperature level of at least one of a first battery cell group and a second battery cell group. If a temperature level is less than the threshold temperature level, then the method further includes generating first and second control signals to induce first and second switches, respectively, to each have a first operational position to at least partially discharge the first and second battery cell groups, respectively, through first and second resistors, respectively, to generate heat energy in the first and second resistors.

A battery management system is provided. The system includes a battery monitoring device having a microprocessor and a hardware component. The microprocessor identifies a non-modifiable node ID from the hardware component. The microprocessor also obtains operational parameters associated with the at least one battery cell. The microprocessor computes a network ID for the battery monitoring device based on the non-modifiable node ID. The system further includes a main controller that communicates with the battery monitoring device via a communication bus utilizing the network ID.

A battery cell interconnect and voltage sensing assembly and a method for coupling a battery cell assembly thereto are provided. The battery cell interconnect and voltage sensing assembly includes a frame member holding a plurality of electrical interconnect members and a circuit board with an electrical connector. The assembly routes an electrical current from battery cell assemblies through the electrical interconnect members and can allow a voltage at each of the electrical interconnect members to be sensed at the electrical connector.

A battery cell interconnect and voltage sensing assembly and a method for coupling a battery cell assembly thereto are provided. The battery cell interconnect and voltage sensing assembly includes a circuit board, electrical interconnect members, and an electrical connector. The circuit board further has slots therethrough for receiving the electrical interconnect members thereon. Electrical terminals from battery cell assemblies are coupled to the electrical interconnect members. The circuit board also has electrical traces for routing voltages at the electrical interconnect members to the electrical connector for sensing voltages of the battery cell assemblies.

Battery cell interconnect and voltage sensing assembly and method for coupling battery cell assemblies thereto

A system and a method for determining a bus address for a controller within a network are provided. The method includes coupling a first set of pins of a wire harness connector to a second set of pins of a PCB connector of the controller. The method further includes sampling voltages of a portion of the first set of pins of the PCB connector to determine a wire harness ID utilizing a microprocessor. The method further includes accessing a look-up table from a memory device to select the bus address for the controller using the wire harness ID utilizing the microprocessor. The look-up table includes a plurality of bus addresses correspondingly associated with a plurality of wire harness IDs. The method further includes storing the selected bus address in the memory device utilizing the microprocessor.
