A press assembly for forming a food product where the press assembly includes a cutting die including a body that extends from a proximal end to a distal end. The proximal end has an irregular shape and a sharp edge configured to cut the food product into the irregular shape. The body has an interior surface surrounding an interior space. The press assembly further includes a pressure plate arranged within the interior space. The pressure plate includes a pressing surface including a first zone and a second zone surrounding and extending from the first zone at a taper angle such that an outer end of the second zone is recessed from an inner end adjacent the first zone. The cutting die and the pressure plate cooperate to press and cut the food product. The food product is also described.

Device and method for making an irregular dough product

A carton for use in microwave ovens includes a base and a removable cover. The base has a cooking surface at least partially covered with a microwave susceptor material. The base defines an aperture arrangement. In preferred embodiments, the carton is triangular-shaped with an apex region. The apex region does not have a susceptor material, and can include a microwave shield. The removable cover can function as a cover, a platform, and a tray. A packaged food product includes a food product, such as a slice of pizza, oriented within the carton. Methods of packaging and use are provided.

A food product in the form of a connected but random, symmetrical or linear array of food portions can be served as an entree, appetizer dessert or other food. The array is adapted for manual separation and consumption. The food can take any asymmetrical or symmetrical form. The product can have a central portion or location and two or more portions that extend from the central portion that are asymmetrical or symmetrical about the central point. The portions can be filled or topped with fillings or toppings and can be designed for convenient preparation, serving, separation into individual units, and consumption by hand. The food can be uncooked, par-fried, par-baked, baked, fried, etc.
