In embodiments, a USB connector may include a plurality of pins on a front surface and a plurality of pins on a top surface. The pins may be oriented and positioned on the USB connector such that the USB connector may be mounted to the bottom layer of a PCB. Corresponding pins of the USB connector may be conductively connected and may be mated with corresponding pins of the PCB.

A surge protection circuit having an open circuit voltage surge protector, such as a gas discharge tube (GDT), a closed circuit current surge protector, such as a thermistor, and a thyristor. The GDT has a breakdown voltage that is at least a first defined amount higher than an anticipated highest peak voltage. The thermistor has a series resistance associated with a series resistance of electrical equipment being protected and a breakdown voltage that is at least a second defined amount higher than an impulse voltage (voltage required to excite the GDT based on the breakdown voltage) for the GDT. The thyristor has a rated peak current at least a third defined amount greater than a peak current for the thermistor.

Surge protector

Disclosed herein is a radio frequency shield device that includes, an outer cover having one or more displacement protrusions extending from an outer cover bottom surface and one or more cover fasteners, an inner cover positioned inside the outer cover, wherein at least a portion of the inner cover is deflected downward by the displacement protrusions, and a plurality of fence walls having one or more fence fasteners for interlocking with the cover fasteners, wherein the inner cover is positioned at least partially over the fence walls to form at least one of a primary seal and secondary seal.

Device and method for a signal shield

Receivers and methods for receiving a signal may result in improved performance by resolving specific impairments at particular levels. For example, bit error ratio (BER) in the downstream signal of an HFC network may be improved by resolving up to 6% AM hum. Thus, the receivers and methods described herein may function with dramatically improved error rates and continuous FEC lock, in relation to conventional receivers, in the presence of SCTE 40 impairments and full channel loading over the receivers entire input dynamic range.
