Provided is a door threshold assembly for placing below a door comprising: a) a deck configured to be stepped on by a user; b) a base for supporting a first end of the deck positioned on top of the base; c.) a rail positioned on top of the base in proximity to the deck; and d) a seal on top of the base positioned in, between the rail and the deck, and under a portion of the rail, wherein the rail blocks contact with the seal from a top of the threshold at a perpendicular angle.

An entryway for disposition in a door opening of a building includes a threshold and a corner sealing member mounted in the door opening between the building and the threshold. The threshold has a bottom facing downwardly and a back extending upwardly from the bottom. The corner sealing member has a middle portion disposed partially below the bottom of the threshold, a first vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion adjacent the threshold, and a second vertical portion extending upwardly from the middle portion transversely from the first vertical portion. The back of the threshold defines a recess and the second vertical portion of the corner sealing member is disposed in the recess to allow for adequate sealing between the threshold and the corner sealing member and to allow for proper placement of the threshold in the door opening without interference from the corner sealing member.

Entryway for disposition in a door opening of a building

An astragal assembly is disposed between doors of a double-door set mounted in a door frame of a building to seal between the doors. The astragal assembly includes an astragal attached to one of the doors and a lock block assembly slideable within the astragal. The astragal defines a channel and the lock block assembly includes a body slideably disposed in the channel. The lock block assembly includes a lift boot coupled to and resiliently extending from the body. The lock block assembly is slideable between an extended position and a retracted position. The lift boot includes a fin extending away from the body. The fin includes a first and second lateral portion spaced from each other and a primary portion extending from the first lateral portion to the second lateral portion for sealing against the door frame in the extended position to prevent elements from entering into the building.

Lock block assembly for an astragal

An astragal boot for mounting onto a lower end of an astragal includes a platform, a first and second lateral fin spaced from each other and projecting downwardly from the platform, and an auxiliary fin disposed between the first and second lateral fins. The auxiliary fin defines an auxiliary fin edge extending from the first lateral fin to the second lateral fin for sealing engagement with the threshold. The auxiliary fin includes a hub portion and a first and second leg portion each extending from the hub portion to the first and second lateral fins, respectively. The first leg portion extends along a first direction defining a portion of the auxiliary fin edge along the first direction and the second leg portion extends along a second direction at an obtuse angle relative to the first direction defining another portion of the auxiliary fin edge along the second direction.

Astragal boot

A cord lock desirably for a window blind assembly adapted to be releasably locked to a cord, such as a vertical cord of the window blind assembly, at alternate locations along the length of the cord. The cord lock desirably includes a first member and a second member that are hingedly connected together in any suitable manner for opening and closing the cord lock. The cord lock defines a channel for receiving the cord and includes structure for engaging the cord within the channel to releasably lock the cord lock to the cord when the cord lock is in a closed position. The channel may be elongated and defined by the second member, and the cord engaging structure may be integral or otherwise associated with the first member. The cord may be received within the channel when the cord lock is in a closed position to lock the cord lock to the cord and desirably also to substantially enclose the channel so as to define a passage with two open ends. At least a portion of the channel may be enclosed to retain the cord within the channel and permit sliding of the cord lock along the cord even when the cord lock is in the open position. A method is also provided for adjusting the length of the window blind assembly including the step of releasably locking the cord lock to the cord of the window blind assembly.

Cord lock and method for adjusting the length of a window blind assembly

A window blind assembly having a storage rail assembly that includes a storage rail defining a channel for receiving and storing unnecessary or unused slats of the blind assembly to enable the ready customization of the blind assembly to fit windows of different heights. The storage rail assembly also includes a pair of end caps removably engageable with the ends of the storage rail for retaining the slats within the channel. Each end cap includes a breakaway member and an end piece removably joined together by a coupling portion desirably in the form of an area of reduced thickness of the end cap so that the breakaway member can be separated from the end piece and positioned to prevent buckling of the slats within the blind.

A window blind assembly having a bottom rail that defines a channel for receiving and storing unnecessary or unused slats of the blind assembly to enable the ready customization of the blind assembly to fit windows of different heights. End caps removably engageable with the ends of the storage rail may be provided for retaining the slats within the channel. Slots may be formed on each of the leading edges of the end caps, extending inwardly, for engaging a cover slat to enclose the storage rail and enhance the aesthetic appearance of the storage rail. Means are also provided for readily securing the storage rail to the cords of the blind assembly.

A window blind having a bottom rail that defines a channel for receiving and storing unnecessary or unused slats of the blind to enable the ready customization of the blind to fit windows of different heights. End caps removably engageable with the ends of the storage rail are provided for maintaining the slats within the channel. U-shaped slots may be formed on each of the leading edges of the end caps, extending inwardly for receiving and retaining a cover slat to enclose the storage rail and enhance the aesthetic appearance of the storage rail. Means may also be provided for readily securing the storage rail to the cords of the blind. The securing means comprises a slot formed on the bottom of the storage rail that slidingly engages twist-and-lock eyelets joined to the ends of the cords.
