A water tight rubber glove covering hand, wrist, and mid forearm with scrub pads on top side of glove four fingers. A single pad cut and shaped to cover palm side of glove, four fingers, and bottom side of thumb. Five web pads made into the four fingers a thumb. The four webs are placed at the second bend of each finger to the third bend at bottom of finger. The thumb web is placed at second bend in the thumb to the crease of the thumb.

Intraocular devices for use in and attached to the natural lens capsule of an eye are provided. The lens capsule may be maintained in a configuration to avoid post-operative changes that are deleterious to vision. Single or dual optic systems are provided, which may be accommodating. Combinations of devices to obtain dual optic systems are disclosed.

Lens epithelial cells are destroyed and further growth is inhibited coincidental with eye surgery such as cataract surgery by heating the cells to a temperature above normal to thereby destroy the cells and inhibit future growth. The cells are heated by placement of a thermally conductive ring within the lens capsule and heating the ring thereby raising the temperature of lens epithelial cells adjacent to the ring.

Apparatus and method for increasing flow resistance around a probe

An economical computer-controlled non-invasive laser apparatus and method to perform anterior segment surgery in an eye are disclosed. The laser source may include a pumping laser, a Nd:YAG laser cavity gain media, a stimulated Raman converter crystal, intracavity beam diameter-reducing optics, and an intracavity Q-switching crystal. The laser pulses have a selected wavelength for anterior segment surgery. A laser pulse delivery and treatment control mechanism and method for the practicing surgeon are also provided. The laser pulses and delivery system may be used in anterior segment surgery for cataracts, where the laser pulses may be used to form the capsulotomy, to form the corneal incision or to disintegrate contents of the capsule before removal. The laser and delivery system may also the used to treat a capsule and lens for correcting or preventing presbyopia and to treat a cornea to correct visual deficiencies in an eye.

The shield member includes an electrical shock bar configured to receive an electrical current from the electrical source and to deliver an electrical shock to a human or other animal.

A method and system of surface analysis or product design comprising using a plurality of input scans, commonly orienting the scans, establishing a common origin, creating a ray mesh having a plurality of rays extending from the origin, calculating intersections of the rays with the input scans, analyzing the intersection along each ray, generating percentile envelopes by connecting similar percentile points on each ray, and designing products using percentile envelopes as a guide. The system may comprise a device for scanning surfaces, a fit plan setting forth predetermined guidelines for the product, a coordinate transformation algorithm, an envelope processor comprising an intersection calculation algorithm for analyzing data sets and generating output surfaces, and an output file.

Method for inserting the device into the capsule and performing irrigation or aspiration for polishing and for deforming the lens capsule is provided. The device may be placed in an eye for permanent isolation of fluids within the lens capsule from tissue and fluids outside the capsule.

A CT scanner includes a base, two fixed portions extending transversely from the base, and a rocking beam pivotally attached to the base about an axis. The CT scanner includes four wheels that allow the CT scanner to move over a floor. A wheel is attached to each fixed portion, and a wheel is attached to each end of the rocking beam. If the CT scanner is positioned on a floor with an unlevel portion, the rocking beam rotates about the axis. One wheel attached to the rocking beam raises in a generally vertical direction, and the other beam attached to the rocking beam lowers in a generally vertical direction so all four wheels contact the floor, stabilizing the CT scanner and preventing rocking.

A personal defense device is provided that includes a shield and an electric shock device. The shield is configured to protect a user and circuitry from physical attack. The personal defense device is configured to be worn by a user such that it is difficult or impossible for an attacker to remove the personal defense device during an attack. In one embodiment, the personal defense device includes a gauntlet-style glove attached to the shield and electric shock device so as to provide protection for a user's forearm. The electric shock device is configured to deliver less-lethal electrical shocks and/or sparks to startle, disarm, and repel an aggressor.
