Pointers are added to a 3D volumetric dataset to help the user visualize the direction of blood flow. A 3D volume containing at least one blood vessel is created. Next, the direction of the blood flow is determined. Next, at least pointer is placed into the 3D volume in an aligned fashion with the direction of blood flow such that the 3D volume is modified. Next, the modified 3D volume is displayed on a head display unit, such as an augmented reality or virtual reality display. Next, at least one pointer is advanced to a new position for additional modification of the 3D imaging volume.

Method and apparatus for generating a colored three dimensional volume via voxel elimination and color assignment to voxel groups

An interactive 3D cursor facilitates selection and manipulation of a three-dimensional volume from a three-dimensional image. The selected volume image may be transparency-adjusted and filtered to remove selected tissues from view. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of tissues in a selected volume may be performed. Location indicators, annotations, and registration markers may be overlaid on selected volume images.

This patent includes techniques for improved rates of display of images within an image set. This is particularly useful to scrolling through medical images. For example, the top of the head on an axial head CT image is a smaller size on the screen as compared to the middle of the head. This method comprises generating an improved personalized webpage with multi-user advertisement control panel (ACP). Method and apparatus for improved presentation of information

A method and apparatus of generating a modified segmented structure is disclosed. This modified segmented structure subtracts pixels or voxels in an inward direction from the segmented structure to create a smaller volume or area than the segmented structure. Analysis of the smaller volume can be useful in generating custom volumes, which can then be processed to improve visualization inside the custom volume.

This patent provides a method and apparatus to improve image analysis for a user viewing an image comprising multiple structures on a display. An eye tracking system is set up for a user viewing the image on a display, such as using an eye facing camera. An analysis of the eye tracking data and a structure that is being viewed is performed. An image analysis tool, such as an image manipulation tool, an image measurement tool or an image annotation tool, is predicted from a group of image analysis tools and is presented to the user. The user can then use the predicted tool as the user sees fit, such as executing the capabilities of the tool via a mouse.

This patent provides a novel stereoscopic imaging system. In the preferred embodiment, the improved stereoscopic imaging system would be incorporated onto a smart phone, which is called the stereoscopic smart phone (SSP). The SSP would work in conjunction with one or more stereoscopic head display units (SHDUs). Once this system is operational, it will allow significant improvements to obtaining stereoscopic imagery. A method and apparatus comprising generating a dynamic personalized webpage is disclosed. At least two webpages are loaded in a fashion that is hidden from the user. Content from the at least two webpages is extracted based on classification 'of interest' by an artificial intelligence algorithm. A dynamic personalized webpage comprising extracted content is then generated and displayed to the user. In this patent, a method for improving interaction with tangible objects is disclosed. A user wearing an augmented reality head display unit sees tangible objects. A database comprising appropriate orientation and position of a first tangible object with a second tangible object is established. A virtual object to correspond to a second tangible object is generated and registered to the first tangible object with proper positioning and orientation according to the database. The user, by watching the virtual object, can far more easily align the first tangible object with the second tangible object. Thus, this patent can help in construction-type activities.

Method and apparatus for a simulated physiologic change for CT and MRI examinations

A computerized medical diagnostic system uses a training dataset that is updated based on reports generated by a radiologist. AI and/or CAD is used to make an initial determination of no finding, finding, or diagnosis based on the training dataset. Normal results with a high confidence of no finding are not reviewed by the radiologist. Low confidence results, findings, and diagnosis are reviewed by the radiologist. The radiologist generates a report that associates terminology and weighting with marked 3D image volumes. The report is used to update the training dataset.
