Mobile data management system

Methods and systems incorporating non-linear dynamic (NLD) analysis such as entropy or other complexity analysis monitoring continuous or evoked signals from a biological subject are presented, where such a system comprises of processing steps including: a) the combination of a biological signal evoked as a result of patient stimulation presented to a biological subject and a non-linear analysis method capable of capturing temporal changes in signal order or regularity; b) any combination of processed evoked or continuous central nervous or peripheral physiological mechanisms b) a means to generate a measure indicative of a patient's level of anaesthesia and consciousness depth (A&CD), sedation or sleep/wake state. Methods and systems incorporating a NLD analysis means to improve the discrimination between different signals origins including any combination of: a) central nervous system (CNS), b) peripheral control or nervous system (PNS), c) autonomic control or nervous system (ANS), d) arousals, and e) artifacts.

Anaesthesia and consciousness depth monitoring system

The present invention provides a magnetic monitoring system for imaging, monitoring, scanning or mapping for brain or heart activity of subjects including children and adults, the system comprising of a magnetoencephalographic or magnetocardiographic system incorporating SQUID sensors for measuring brain activity or heart activity, the system including a plurality of Dewar helmets of variable sizes and shapes; and a plurality of monitoring interfaces; wherein the sensor system helmet is moveable by horizontal Dewar rotation. The sensor system includes configurations where the size and shape of helmets in the system may be different to accommodate different sized subjects for monitoring simultaneously.

Diagnostic image security system

The present invention provides a gas delivery device and system and methods for delivering humidified pressurized gas through a conduit to a subject. The configuration of the elements of the gas delivery device enable the device to be conveniently oriented from a horizontal to vertical position to suit the needs of a user. The gas delivery device may incorporate a Helmholtz resonator for dampening sound of the motor. The conduit may incorporate concentric tubes to allow it to conveniently engage the humidifier at a single aperture. The invention includes a method of operating a blower motor for a gas delivery device using a single Hall sensor.

Apparatus for delivery of pressurised gas

A method for restricting unauthorised access to a patient's diagnostic images. Patient identification data is stored in a first database and diagnostic images associated with the patient are stored in a remote second database. The patient is issued with an access code which is provided to a user who is authorized by the patient to access the patient's diagnostic image. Use of the access code permits an authorized user to match the patient identification data retrieved from the first database with the associated diagnostic image stored in the second database.

A system including a mask to detect an EEG signal and to deliver a gas, the mask having a forehead support extending from the body and adapted to contact a forehead surface of the patient during use, the forehead support having a plurality of sensors located thereon for detecting electrophysiological signals of the patient, with the plurality of sensors including EEG sensors positioned proximate to FP1/FP2 standard electrode placement positions of the patient, a gas delivery device in fluid communication with the mask and having an adjustable gas output, and a control system for determining a sleep stage from EEG signals detected by the mask and adjusting a gas delivery device based on the sleep stage.

Bio-mask with integral sensors

The present invention pertains to a system and method of monitoring the alertness or wakefulness of a driver. The monitored parameters include cardiac, respiratory and movement parameters. Sensors are located in various locations of the driver side section to detect the vigilance of a driver. These sensors include pressure sensors embedded in the seat and pedals, and a head band for monitoring EEG, EMG and EOG signals.

Vigilance monitoring system

The invention provides apparatus and methods for semi-automatic or automatic imaging or treatment of occlusions in vessels using pulsed or unpulsed focussed sound waves, preferably ultrasound, in Doppler technology. The apparatus comprises at least one sound transducer member including at least one sound-emitting element for producing at least one sound wave beam; means to adjust the parameters of said at least one sound wave beam; means to spatially locate said at least one sound-emitting element; means to move said at least one transducer member; means to control movement of said at least one transducer member automatically or semi-automatically; means to automatically or semi-automatically focus sound waves generated by said at least one sound-emitting element into a beam; and means to accept sound signals from sound-emitting element or elements. The invention provides method for semi-automatically or automatically locating an occlusion in a vessel, including the steps of identifying regions of a body in which emboli might be found are identified; selecting a region of interest for sonication; sonicating the region of interest with at least one sound wave beam by moving said sound beam across the region of interest; receiving reflected sound signals from the region of interest; and calculating the Doppler effect parameters of flow and turbulence from said reflected sound signals.

Ultrasound diagnosis and treatment apparatus

The present invention monitors and interprets physiological signals and spontaneous breathing events to detect the onset of arousal. Once the onset of arousal is determined, the present invention determines adjustments that are needed in the operation of a therapeutic device to avoid or minimize arousals. In one embodiment, the present invention includes one or more sensors which detect a patient's physiological parameters, a controller which monitors and determines the onset of arousal based on the physiological variables received from the sensor, and a therapeutic treatment device which is controlled by the controller. The sensor can be a combination of one or more devices which are able to monitor a physiological parameter that is used by the present invention to determine the onset of arousal or the onset of a sleep disorder. The sensors can be integrated into one unit or may operate independent of the others.

Method and apparatus for maintaining and monitoring sleep quality during therapeutic treatments

The present invention is a breathing mask that is fully adjustable so as to enable a comfortable and leak proof seal around a patient's face. The mask includes a frame, a cushion, a hose connector, a strap, connector, a strap, and a headgear. The present invention ensures both comfort and effectiveness by enabling a full adjustment of various components such as the angle of the strap relative to the face mask and the adjustment of the size of the headgear. Furthermore, the present invention also allows for the free rotation of certain elements in order to maintain a sufficient seal without increasing the pressure applied to the patient.

Adaptable breathing mask

Authenticating an identity of a user claiming to be a genuine-user includes receiving from the user biometric data pertaining to a plurality of biometric parameters. The received biometric data are compared with corresponding authentic biometric data which have previously been obtained from the genuine-user. The user's identity is authenticated if the received biometric data meet qualification criteria when compared with the corresponding authentic biometric data.

The systems weight the outputs of one or more analysis algorithms including combinations of simultaneous, real-time R&K analysis, AEP spectral analysis-SEF-MF, Bi-coherence analysis, initial wave analysis, auditory response, arousal analysis, body movement analysis, 95% spectral edge analysis and anaesthetic phase and spectral energy variance measurement in association with a subject's state of consciousness.
