A wear member includes an attachment portion, and a wear portion extending from the attachment portion that defines a wear surface. The wear portion has a dispersible wear indicator that is disposed in the wear portion, and that is spaced a predetermined distance away from the wear surface.

A tool bit includes a shank portion defining a longitudinal axis, a free end, and a perimeter, at least one anti-rotation feature on the perimeter extending to the free end, and a cross-hole defining a cross-hole axis along which the cross-hole extends through the shank portion. The working portion includes a rear region, a front working region defining a width with a midpoint, a first side region and a second side region. The first side region and the second side region define an angle of extension measured in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A tool bit includes a threaded portion, a shank, a shoulder, an anti-rotation segment and a working portion. The threaded portion may be centered about and extend longitudinally along a first axis. The shank may be centered about the first axis and extend longitudinally along the first axis. The shank may be disposed between the threaded portion and the shoulder. The anti-rotation segment may be disposed between the shoulder and the working portion of the tool bit. The cutting edge assembly may include a wear element configured to form a cutting edge of the work tool, wherein the wear element is formed from a second metal alloy that is different from the first metal alloy, and wherein the wear element is cast over the plurality of retention structures to bond the wear element to the attachment element.
