A tapered bushing includes a conical inner surface defining a conical axis, and a radial direction. The tapered bushing further includes an outer surface of revolution, and defines a minimum radial wall thickness that ranges from 3.0 mm to 15.0 mm measured from the conical inner surface to the outer surface of revolution. Also, the conical inner surface defines a draft angle that ranges from 2.0 degrees to 30.0 degrees.

A spring clip defines an axis of movement, and includes a handle portion disposed at a first end along the axis of movement, and a tool bit engaging portion disposed at a second end along the axis of movement. A tool bit includes a shank portion defining a longitudinal axis, a free end, and a perimeter, at least one anti-rotation feature on the perimeter extending to the free end, and a cross-hole defining a cross-hole axis along which the cross-hole extends through the shank portion. A tool bit includes a threaded portion, a shank, a shoulder, an anti-rotation segment and a working portion. The threaded portion may be centered about and extend longitudinally along a first axis. The anti-rotation segment may be disposed between the shoulder and the working portion of the tool bit. The cutting edge assembly may include an attachment element configured to be attached to a work tool of a machine, wherein the attachment element is formed from a first metal alloy, and wherein the attachment element includes a plurality of retention structures that extend from an attachment end of the attachment element toward a cutting edge end of the attachment element. The cutting edge assembly may include a wear element configured to form a cutting edge of the work tool, wherein the wear element is formed from a second metal alloy that is different from the first metal alloy, and wherein the wear element is cast over the plurality of retention structures to bond the wear element to the attachment element.
