A method of obtaining a 3D model of a subject includes capturing a plurality of images of the subject by an image capture device, associating respective ones of the plurality of images with a timestamp and unique identification number, transmitting image capture data comprising the timestamp and the unique identification number to an external server, receiving a transmission comprising the unique identification number, and, responsive to receiving the transmission, transmitting a first image of the plurality of images that is associated with the unique identification number.

Mobile 3D crowd scanning methods and apparatus

An arrangement for obtaining body measurements of a person includes a garment configured to be form fitted to the person, a reference target, and a handheld digital camera. A surface of the garment includes a plurality of first fiducials which are photogrammetrically analyzable. The reference target includes a plurality of second fiducials that are photogrammetrically analyzable. The plurality of second fiducials on the reference target facilitate producing a 3D model true to scale and in a recognized orientation to a surface on which the person is standing. The handheld digital camera acquires a plurality of successive images of the garment and reference target as the digital camera is moved around the person. A computer processes the plurality images by methods of photogrammetry to produce a 3D model of the body. A portable stabilization device may be held by the person to reduce movement and control arm spacing during image acquisition.

Mobile 3D body scanning methods and apparatus

A method for generating an integrated garment-model simulation is provided. The method includes scanning a human fit model to acquire first shape data representative of a portion of the human fit model; defining a three-dimensional surface simulation based on the first shape data; combining the surface simulation with medical data to define a model simulation; acquiring second shape data and material property data representative of a sample garment; defining a garment simulation based on the second shape data and the material property data; and combining the garment simulation with the model simulation to generate the integrated garment-model simulation.

Systems and methods of generating integrated garment-model simulations

A method and system for designing circularly knitted garments are provided. The method includes designing a model of the circularly knitted garment, stretching the model from a first size to a second size, and governing the stretching with one or more user definable rules. The system includes a circular knitting machine, a controller for controlling the circular knitting machine with a machine code, a tool for saving a model of the circularly knitted garment as a first output, and a conversion program for converting the first output into the machine code. The tool has a stretching function for changing a size of the first output using one or more user selected rules.
