The invention relates to novel triphendioxazine pigments of formula (I) wherein X represents hydrogen or chlorine, while Rrepresents phenyl substituted by one to five radicals from the group comprising C-C-alkyl, halogen, C-C-alkoxy, acetylamino, aminocarbonyl, methylaminocarbonyl and C-C-alkoxycarbonyl, or phenyl annelated in the 2,3- or 3,4- with a divalent radical of the formula &#x2014;NH&#x2014;(CO)&#x2014;NR&#x2014;, &#x2014;CR&#x2550;CH&#x2014;CO&#x2014;NH&#x2014;, &#x2014;CR&#x2550;N&#x2014;CO&#x2014;NH&#x2014;, &#x2014;CO&#x2014;NH&#x2014;CO&#x2014;NR&#x2014;, &#x2014;CO&#x2014;(NH)&#x2014;CO&#x2014; or &#x2014;O&#x2014;(CO)&#x2014;NH&#x2014; so as to form a five- or six-membered ring, Rrepresenting hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or phenyl and m representing 1 or 2.

Triphendioxazine pigments

The invention relates to the use of a pigment composition containing between 86.0 and 99.9 total mol % of C.I. Pigment Yellow 74 molecules and between 14.0 and 0.1 total mol % of at least one monoazo pigment of the formula (1) wherein Rrepresents Cl, OCH, OHor NOas a coloring agent for pigmenting ink-jet inks and color filters.
