The movement of a machine element of a machine that can be driven via a shaft with the aid of a motor can be guided by specifying a setpoint guidance variable describing a desired movement process of the machine element for the actuation of the motor and determining an actual pilot variable and/or an actual guidance variable from the setpoint guidance variable by subjecting the setpoint guidance variable to a digital path model which simulates the dynamic behavior of the machine element and the motor. The digital path model is parameterized by the total moment of inertia and the poles and zeros of the transfer function of the mechanical system consisting of motor, shaft and machine element.

Method and device for guiding the movement of a movable machine element of a machine

In order to be able to take into account machining configurations more flexibly, a method for optimizing numerically controlled machining of a workpiece includes ascertaining geometric interaction data. A relationship between a force to be expected and a configuration parameter of the machining is determined on the basis of the interaction data. The force is calculated during the machining on the basis of the relationship and a current value of the at least one configuration parameter. The machining is adapted depending on the calculated force.

Computer-aided optimization of numerically controlled machining of a workpiece

A first drive operates directly on a machine element, whereas a second drive operates on a machine element via a speed-changing device. A position controller receives a position setpoint value and a position actual value of the machine element and determines therefrom a speed setpoint value for the machine element. A first determining device receives the speed setpoint value and determines a resulting speed setpoint value using the speed setpoint value. A first speed controller determines a first force setpoint value from the resulting speed setpoint value and the speed actual value of the machine element and controls the first drive depending on the first force setpoint value. A second speed controller determines a second force setpoint value from the resulting speed setpoint value and the speed actual value of the second drive and controls the second drive depending on the force setpoint value.

Controller structure for mixed direct/indirect driving of a machine element

A movement controller of a machine uses in the context of processing a part program defining a useful processing action a parameter set having a plurality of parameters to determine, based on commands of the part program and actual values of a number of axes of the machine controlled by the movement controller, control commands for drives of the machine which are associated with the axes and to apply the determined control commands to the drives. A checking device checks the respective parameters for compliance with conditions defined by respective physical characteristics. In many cases, the checking device can determine the respective physical characteristics using other parameters of the parameter set.

Automatic optimization of the parameterization of a movement controller

A control device for drives of a machine switches between normal operation and special operation depending on power demand from a power supply. In both operating modes, the control device cyclically determines preliminary current setpoint values. In normal operation, the current setpoint values match the preliminary setpoint values. In special operation, the control device dynamically determines a proportional factor for the drives depending on nominal and/or actual operating states of the drives. The control device determines current setpoint values by modifying the preliminary current setpoint values so that a respective drive draws no more power than the product of the respective proportional factor and the available total power. The current setpoint values and the current actual values are fed to drive controllers for the first drives, by means of which the preliminary first current setpoint values are determined. The control characteristics of the drive controllers include an integral part.

Optimized operation of a machine having a plurality of drives

A drivetrain for linear movement of a machine component along a linear guide of a machine includes a motor with a motor-measuring system. A length-measuring system is assigned to the linear guide for determining a position of the machine component. To determine rigidity of the drivetrain, a constant acceleration for the machine component is predetermined by a numerical controller for performing closed-loop control of the movement of the machine component. The numerical controller determines a difference between a position of the machine component derived from the motor-measuring system and a position of the machine component measured at the same time by the length-measuring system during the acceleration phase, and the difference is assigned to the acceleration or to a force required for the acceleration and storage in the numerical controller of the pair of values established in this way and/or of a rigidity value emanating from the pair of values.

Determining the rigidity of a drivetrain of a machine, in particular a machine tool or production machine

An apparatus for controlling and regulating a movement of a system includes a load calculating device calculating continuously during the movement of the system a respective force vector for each of the individual elements as a function of predetermined reference coordinates and a torque calculating device calculating continuously during the movement at least one compensating variable, wherein the compensating variable compensates the force vectors as a function of the reference coordinates and the force vectors. The apparatus for controlling and regulating has a control unit controlling continuously during the movement a force-producing variable for the at least one drive as a function of the reference and the at least one compensating variable.

Apparatus and method for controlling and regulating a multi-element system

In a method and a device for winding an acentric coil former, the coil former is set into a rotary motion with a winder drive, wherein the rotary motion of the coil former causes a wire attached to the coil former to be wound onto the coil former and unwound from a drum operatively connected to a brake drive, and the winder drive or the brake drive, or both, are controlled based on a rotation position of the coil former. The wire is unwound from the drum with a non-constant speed.
