A sensor system is provided which includes an electroacoustic transducer, which is designed as a thickness oscillator and accordingly includes a front element having a bottom area and an end face, at least one disk-shaped piezoelectric element having a first surface and a second surface, and a rear element having a first end face and a second end face, the end face of the front element being coupled to a diaphragm which is suitable for emitting and receiving sound waves. The bottom area of the front element is joined to the first surface of the piezoelectric element integrally and/or in a force-fit manner, and the second end face of the rear element is joined to the second surface of the piezoelectric element integrally and/or in a force-fit manner. The distance between the first end face and the second end face of the rear element, plus half of the thickness of the piezoelectric element, corresponds to half of the wavelength of a resonance oscillation of the sensor system in the thickness direction.

Sensor system

An electroacoustic transducer includes: a housing; an oscillating structure including at least one disk-shaped piezoelectric element having first and second surfaces; an acoustic transmitter; and electrical connecting element contacting electrodes of the piezoelectric element. The acoustic transmitter has parallel first and second surfaces, which first surface is joined to the first surface of the piezoelectric element, and which second surface is suitable for emitting and/or receiving sound waves. The distance between the second surface of the acoustic transmitter and the second surface of the piezoelectric element corresponds to &#xbc; of the resonance oscillation wavelength of the oscillating structure. The piezoelectric element is connected to the housing with the aid of a bearing structure which allows transverse strains of the piezoelectric element.

Electroacoustic transducer

An ultrasonic transmission and reception device is described. This includes a transmission circuit for generating a transmission signal at its transmission outputs and, an ultrasonic transducer, which is suited for converting electrical signals into sound signals and sound signals into electrical signals, a transformer, the primary side of which is connected to the transmission outputs and of the transmission circuit and the secondary side of which is connected to the ultrasonic transducer, and a reception circuit for processing a received signal present at its reception input. The ultrasonic transmission and reception device is characterized in that the reception input of the reception circuit is connected to the transformer via an additional winding tap of the transformer, the additional winding tap being incorporated into the transformer in such a way that the transformed transmission signal at the reception input of the reception circuit is boosted in its voltage amplitude with a lower gain factor than the transformed transmission signal which excites the ultrasonic transducer.

Ultrasonic transmission and reception device

An electroacoustic transducer is provided that combines the properties and advantages of the known concepts of the thickness mode transducer and of the bending transducer with each other. For this purpose, an electroacoustic transducer is provided, which includes a housing and an oscillating structure. The oscillating structure is formed by at least one piezoelectric element, a diaphragm, and an acoustic transmitter. It is provided that the diaphragm is designed as a bending transducer, and the acoustic transmitter is designed as a thickness mode transducer.

An ultrasonic sensor includes a housing having a peripheral side wall and a base surface, i.e., it is configured as essentially pot-shaped. The base surface is configured as a diaphragm. A transducer element, which is configured as a piezoelectric element, for example, and is used for generating and detecting ultrasonic oscillations, is situated on the base surface. At least one mass element is situated on the base surface so that the resistance of the mass element against an oscillation of the diaphragm increases with rising oscillation frequency.
