A concrete composition having, in a mixture with water, a hydraulic binder, sand, aggregates, an expanding agent and a shrinkage reducing admixture, wherein the expanding agent is calcium oxide having a low reactivity such that the concrete casted using the composition does not expand by more than 0.05 vol. % during the first 10 days, preferably not expanding more than 0.05 vol. % during the first 7 days, after having been cast.

Concrete composition

The concrete composition includes, in a mixture with water, a hydraulic binder, sand and aggregates, wherein the hydraulic binder includes a Portland cement of high reactivity, and the hydraulic binder is present in an amount of 280-340 kg per cubic meter of concrete, a shrinkage reducing admixture is present in an amount of 0-4 L per cubic meter of concrete, and water is present in an amount of 140-160 L per cubic meter of concrete.

A dry cement mixture comprises Portland cement and an ultra-fine component consisting of at least one ultra-fine additive, said ultra-fine component being a hydraulic binder, wherein Portland cement is present in an amount of at least 70 wt % of the mixture and the ultra-fine component is present in an amount of at least 5 wt % of the mixture, wherein the ultra-fine component has a particle size distribution characterized by a particle diameter Dof between 0.5 &#x3bc;m and 2 &#x3bc;m and a particle diameter Dof between 2 &#x3bc;m and 8 &#x3bc;m.
