The present disclosure relates to devices and methods of converting a bicycle frame from a mechanical gear-shifting configuration to an electronic gear-shifting configuration and vice versa. In a representative embodiment, a method of converting a bicycle frame from a mechanical gear-shifting configuration to an electronic gear-shifting configuration comprises removing a mechanical cable extending between a mechanical gear-shift actuator and a mechanical gear shifter via a cable stop of a removable bracket member secured to a down tube member of the bicycle frame, and removing the removable bracket member from the down tube member of the bicycle frame. The method further comprises mounting an electronically-actuated gear shifter to the bicycle frame in electrical communication with an electronic gear-shift actuator such that actuation of the electronic gear-shift actuator causes the electronically-actuated gear shifter to shift gears.

The disclosed Auditory RRC-Humanoid Robot equipped with a verbal-phoneme sound generator is a computer-based system programmed to reach high levels of human-like verbal-AI. Behavioral programming techniques are used to reach human-like levels of identification-AI, recognition-AI, and comprehension-AI of all the words and sentences presented to the robot as verbal input signals. An innovative behavioral speech processing methodology is used to recognize and repeat the acoustic sequential set of phoneme signals that comprise the verbally generated speech of human speakers. The recognized and repeated sequential set of phoneme signals are then mapped onto a unique phonetic structure such as all the words and clauses listed in a 50,000 word lexicon that may then make up the vocabulary of the RRC-Robot. The system is programmed to hear and understand verbal speech with its auditory sensors, and intelligently responds by verbally talking with its verbal-phoneme sound generator.

A wireless network access device comprising a radio interface with a serial communication line, a switch, and M serial connections to M connectors for connecting up to M corresponding detachable radio modules. The radio interface forms up to M individually addressable radio communications paths. Each radio module includes a radio configured to communicate with client devices in a coverage area and a radio processor configured to manage at least one radio receiving buffer. The radio receiving buffers store receiver buffer identifiers to corresponding received data space. A processor manages communication between the client devices that communicate with the radio modules and a data network via the radio interface and a network interface when N&#x2266;M radio modules are connected to the radio interface. An assist engine is connected in the serial connection between the processor and the switch to manage allocation of receive buffer identifiers to the radio modules.

In response to a determination that the transceiver is bound, a scheduler assigns the received packet to the processing unit the transceiver is bound to. In response to a determination that the transceiver is not bound, the tagging module binds the transceiver to a processing unit such that the processing unit processes network packets associated with the transceiver while the transceiver is bound to the processing unit, and the scheduler assigns the received network packet to the processing unit the transceiver is bound to.

System and method for managing parallel processing of network packets in a wireless access device

A support plate for an orthodontic anchorage fitting designed to be removably attached to a dental crown analog. The plate has curved slots at each end for passage of screws used to attach it to a sidewall of the analog, so that the plate can be adjusted on the sidewall around an axis that is between the slots. Pivot means can be provided in the sidewall and the plate for locating the plate pivotally on the sidewall. The plate is made of a material, such as stainless steel, to which an orthodontic anchorage fitting may be attached by welding.

A dental crown analog for anchoring an orthodontic archwire to a dental implant fixture installed in a patient who is edentulous at the site where such anchorage is desired has a hollow tubular passage integral with the analog and extending mesially-distally through the analog close to an adjacent buccal or lingual surface. This passage has a slot-shaped opening at one end, the larger dimension of which is generally parallel to the adjacent surface, and the larger dimension tapers toward a smaller generally cylindrical cross-section between its ends or at the other end. Where the smaller cross section is between the ends of the passage the other end of the passage also has a slot-shaped opening. A tube for holding the archwire may be fitted in the passage, rockably mounted in the smaller portion of the passage.

A dental crown analog suitable for orthodontic anchorage mates with an endosseous dental implant fixture to provide such anchorage at an edentulous site. The crown analog is tapered down toward the transverse dimensions of the implant fixture above the gun line, to minimize the accumulation of bacterial plaque, and to facilitate cleaning by the patient during the process of orthodontic therapy. A standard abutment fixed to the implant fixture may be used with a dental crown overlay fitted over the abutment to provide a choice of crown sizes and shapes.

An abutment for orthodontic anchorage is mountable on an osseointegrated dental implant fixture in the same manner as components used to support prosthodontic restorations. This abutment is adjustable around the axis of the implant fixture, and it supports a mount for holding an orthodontic anchor fixed to a buccal or a lingual side of the abutment. The mount is adjustable around an axis running between the buccal and lingual surfaces.
