A firearm stock with adjustable length of pull and/or comb height is disclosed. In one example, a butt plate assembly includes a tongue defining top and bottom chamfered outside edges. A stock body defines top and bottom chamfered inside edges along a slot opening. Moving a locking assembly to a locked position draws the chamfered outside edges on the tongue against the chamfered inside edges along the slot opening. A locking plate can be used between the fastener and the tongue. In another example, an adjustable comb assembly includes a cheek plate with posts received in post openings that extend into the stock body. A locking lever is coupled to a fastener that extends laterally through the stock body. Moving the lever to the locked position draws together opposite sides of the stock body to constrain the post openings, thereby retaining the position of the comb.

A hinge joint includes first and second hinge leaves pivotably mounted on a hinge pin, where the hinge joint is operable between open and closed positions. The hinge joint has a locking mechanism that prevents opening the hinge joint from a closed position until the locking mechanism is moved to the unlocked position. In one example, the locking mechanism includes a plunger retained in the hinge pin. When the plunger is depressed, one or more protrusions can move from a blocking position to a non-blocking position. In some embodiments, the locking mechanism must be moved to the unlocked position prior to opening the hinge joint. The locking mechanism may be used alone or in combination with engagement structures between the first and second hinge leaves. The hinge joint can be part of a folding rifle stock assembly or other hinged assembly.

A charging handle assembly includes a body extending along a longitudinal axis and having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. A handle is connected to the proximal end portion of the body and is translatable along the body between a first position and a second position. A latch is connected to the handle or the body and is operable between a latched position and an unlatched position. Moving the handle from the first position to the second position moves the latch from the latched position to the unlatched position. Also disclosed is a charging handle assembly with a latch configured to engage a top of the lower receiver.

A handguard attachment assembly for a firearm is disclosed. The assembly includes a handguard with an elongate structure extending between a first end and a second end, where the handguard has at least one opening proximate the first end. A flange insert is received in an opening on a first side of the handguard and engages the handguard. A fastener secures the flange insert to a connector positioned over the barrel nut. The fastener can be tightened to draw the handguard to the barrel nut. The connector can be a bridge connector positioned on or over the barrel nut within the handguard, or can be a connector with a flange portion that engages the second side of the handguard and has a connector body that extends towards the flange insert on the first side, to name a few examples.

A multi-caliber automatic rifle (AR) magazine is configured to alternately receive a first cartridge having a first caliber and a second cartridge having a first caliber. The multi-caliber AR magazine includes a first pair of ribs, a second pair of ribs, and a third pair of ribs such that the first pair of ribs and the second pair of ribs are configured to both support the body of the cartridge when loaded in the magazine. The second pair of ribs are indented toward a center of the multi-caliber AR magazine housing more than the first pair of ribs such that a distance between the second pair of ribs is less than a second distance between the first pair of ribs. The third pair of ribs can be rebated to form a dual-curved rib having a central convex portion connected between two concave portions.

An improved buttstock for a firearm is disclosed, the buttstock comprising a comb, the comb comprising an indexing surface on a comb extension, the comb extension being configured to move between an expanded configuration and a retracted configuration; a buttstock, the buttstock comprising a buttpad extension indexing surface, the buttstock being configured to move between an expanded configuration and a retracted configuration. A common lock can secure both the comb extension and the buttpad extension in a fixed position. The common lock can release one or both of the comb extension and the buttpad extension to slide with respect to the body of the stock.

Stock

An adjustable stock assembly includes a housing, a stock rail, a release, a key movable with respect to the release, a latch rotatable about a latch pivot between a latched position, an unlatched position and a disassembly position, and a latch cam pin coupled to the release. The housing is extendable and retractable with respect to the stock rail. The stock rail has a slot and one or more recesses adjacent to the slot that can engage the latch, thereby preventing disassembly of the rail from the housing and further securing the rail in a particular configuration. When partially depressed along with the key, the release disengages the latch from the stock rail recesses, allowing the housing to extend and retract within its adjustment range. The housing can be disassembled from the stock rail when the key and release are fully depressed.

An adjustable buttstock clamp for a rifle is disclosed which includes a cam lever having a mechanical locking feature configured to engage with a groove in a buttstock extension shaft when in the locked position. A buttstock recoil pad may be attached to an extension shaft that can telescope in and out of the body of the buttstock, allowing the user to adjust the length of pull of the rifle and angle of the recoil pad. In one embodiment, the shaft includes a number of grooves on its surface along the length of the shaft and the shaft is held in place using a band clamp that is activated by the cam lever. When the cam lever is in the locked position, the locking feature engages with one of the grooves of the shaft to hold the buttstock recoil pad at the desired length and angle.

A rail mountable diopter rear sight has a housing, a drum arm pivotably connected to the housing, a sight drum rotatably engaged with the drum arm, and elevation adjustment screw connected to the drum arm and the sight drum. The sight drum rotates on a common axis with the elevation adjustment screw. The sight drum threadedly engages a threaded portion of the elevation adjustment screw.
