A system includes a vehicle configured to detect a predefined vehicle incident and report the vehicle incident to at least one remote server, the report including a unique vehicle identifier and a unique wireless identifier associated with the vehicle. The system also includes the server, configured to determine a plurality of devices previously paired with the vehicle and send the unique wireless identifier to at least one of the plurality of devices. The system also includes the plurality of devices, configured to receive the unique wireless identifier. The plurality of devices are also configured to wirelessly search for a signal including the unique wireless identifier and, responsive to detecting the signal, present assistance instructions associated with the incident.

Identification of a mobile device based on a proximate network

A vehicle system includes a processor programmed to output a shared screen for a meeting at a vehicle display configured to output infotainment settings. The processor is in communication with the vehicle display and a nomadic device. The processor is programmed to parse a calendar associated with the nomadic device for a meeting within a predefined or selected time window or period. The processor is further programmed to identify login information for the meeting, establish a communication link for the meeting based on the identified login information, and output a shared screen for the meeting at the display based on the vehicle being in a predefined state.

Methods and systems for a vehicle computing system to communicate with a device

A vehicle that includes in-vehicle controller(s) coupled to an external network transceiver, and configured to register a key fob and/or a mobile device configured as a key fob. The transceiver is configured to communicate autonomously with remote servers to respond to a key fob signal received from the server, which includes an authentication code and a remote control command generated by the key fob and/or mobile device configured as the key fob. In further variations, the key fob is also configured to be paired and/or registered by an external mobile device, by the authentication code, and to generate the remote control command via the mobile device. The controller is further configured to: transmit an advertisement signal indicative of the vehicle being in motion from each transceiver to the OCD via BLE and to receive, at each transceiver, a scan request signal from the OCD via BLE at a first power level. Apparatus and method for in-vehicle location of a mobile device

A vehicle system includes one or more vehicle processors programmed to: provide a user interface to program a first wireless device as a new vehicle key and to delete a second wireless device as an existing vehicle key. The one or more vehicle processors may be further programmed to wirelessly transmit vehicle key security codes from the vehicle to the first device to program the first device. The one or more vehicle processors may be further programmed to display one or more programmed devices including the second device via a user interface for user selection to delete the second device as an existing vehicle key.
