Closures are provided consisting of a lid or cap member and a container member. These are inter-engageable with one another. The lid or cap member has a skirt and the container member has an upstanding rim, each of which is of generally polygonal (preferably square) shape. Located on each of the facing walls on each side of the polygonal shape are inter-engageable projections. The inter-engaging surfaces of the projections run substantially in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the polygonal shape and are of relatively small angular extent about that axis. The material of one or both of the skirt and container portion is resiliently elastic. The closure may be assembled with an axial push, and removed by twisting.

A deflation control valve that automatically varies the rate of gas flow through said control valve to maintain a constant deflation rate during the deflation or exhaust of gas held in a closed pressurisable vessel to which said valve is connectable, wherein said control valve is manually adjustable to set the deflation rate.

Deflation control valve

A writing instrument, which has an inner and outer writing element with separate writing medium reservoirs. The writing elements are coaxially mounted in an outer barrel and axially moveable with respect to one another. A driving mechanism may be actuated to allow a user to selectively extend one writing element. The inner and outer writing elements may have an inner sleeve therebetween to improve, for instance, rigidity of the outer writing element and to prevent contamination of the writing medium reservoirs. An outer sleeve may also be provided over the outer writing element. The outer sleeve can function to hold various components of the outer writing element together, and to allow for clean and easy refill of the outer writing element, especially when the outer writing element is a nib-type writing element with a filler-type reservoir. The writing instrument is designed so that a user can replace the inner and/or outer writing elements when their respective writing medium have been expended.

Combination writing instrument

There is provided a medicament dispenser for use with a medicament carrier having a plurality of pockets for containing medicament wherein said pockets are spaced along the length of and defined between two peelable sheets secured to each other, said dispenser having an internal mechanism for accessing said medicament contained within said medicament carrier. The internal mechanism comprises a carrier drive means; indexing means and clutch means, in communication therebetween. The clutch means comprises a gearing surface defining plural gear engagement positions; and plural gear teeth for engaging said plural gear engagement positions. The plural gear teeth are arranged such that at any one time only a single gear tooth engages a single gear engagement position.

Dispenser for lavatory cleansing composition

A training roller skate has rollers or wheels and wheel mounts, at least one wheel mount being movable, preferably in a direction transverse to the wheel axis, to permit contact between a wheel associated surface and a motion inhibitor that inhibits rotary motion of the wheel. The skate has a front shoe part defining a forward platform portion to support a skater's foot and further defining a toe cap support with which a separately formed toe cap is snap-fittedly attached to permit toe caps of alternative shapes and forms to be selectively attached to the toe cap support. The forward platform portion may have an attached brake pad of frictional material that is engageable by a roller, the brake pad being provided integrally with a projection frictionally to engage the ground when the platform is tilted. At least one of the wheels or rollers has an associated surface provided with at least one projection or recess, and a main body of the skate is provided with at least one projection or recess, and a main body of the skate is provided with at least one recess or projection dimensioned for mating engagement with the surface projection or recess, the wheel mount being movable selectively to effect such mating engagement, to inhibit both forward skating and rearward skating and out of such mating engagement, to permit skating in at least the forward direction. The roller skate may further include a forward carriage and a rearward carriage, with a length adjustment connection between them.

Skating and other apparatus

An electric bilge pump for collecting liquid found in a bottom of a vessel or any other place. The pump is formed of three parts in axial alignment. The assembly is secured to a surface in substantially a horizontal position. An electric motor is enclosed in a cylindrical jacket and has an output shaft with an impeller at its distal end. A second part of the housing is tubular and defines a chamber with the impeller in the chamber. The chamber has an axial inlet with a tangential outlet. A filter is fitted over the inlet to filter out any unwanted debris.

Electric bilge pump assembly

A breast pump is disclosed comprising a body (50) with an inlet (84) thereto to receive milk expressed from a woman's breast. The body is formed for releasable attachment to a container for collecting expressed milk and houses a deformable diaphragm (51) which is cyclicly moved by manually or electrically driven actuating lever (53, 54) connected thereto to generate and release cyclicly a negative pressure in the nipple region sufficient to stimulate the nipple area to cause lactation. The pump preferably includes valve (80) mounted in the body so that the negative pressure is created in the pump body only and not in the container for the expressed milk when connected thereto.

An exercise apparatus is disclosed having a bridge and two adjustably connectable support elements. The bridge and support elements are configured so that the support elements can securely engage the bridge in a locking fashion at three different relative positions, thus supporting the bridge at different heights.
