Videography of surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Embodiments include defining a plane relative a vertical or semi-vertical surface. Linearly scanning along a line parallel to the plane. The plane being defined by three non-colinear points. The linear scanning along the plane is defined by a defined distance from the plane to the surface. The scanning including distance sensor scanning. The distance sensor scanning creating a model of the surface. The distance sensor scanning can include sound-based or light-based distance measurement scanning. The surveillance scanning can further include capture of imagery of the surface along the linear scanning along the plane.

Surface surveilance by unmanned aerial vehicles

Videography of surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Embodiments include a 'panning' piloting scenario. The panning can include control parameters relative to a normal vector to a point P of a plane representing a surface, or relative to a direction of gravity and attributes of the surface. For example, the UAV can be programmed, or controlled, to 'pan' about the point on the plane maintaining a certain distance therefrom while rotating about angles to the normal vector. Methods of estimating a surface include determining a plane including three non-collinear points of the surface. The plane determined can be relative to the direction of gravity, such as vertically parallel to gravity. A piloting routine can include piloting a UAV to various angles relative to the vector normal to the plane and distances to the location on the surface and/or point on the plane.

Unmanned aerial vehicles, videography, and control methods

A needle-point pen apparatus and methods for administering a medication. The needle-point pen apparatus can include a barrel, a needle movably disposed within an inner channel of the barrel, the needle having a tip and an elongate shaft. A driving unit is coupled to the needle and provides a driving actuation to the needle. The driving actuation causes the needle to reciprocate within the barrel between one or more extended and retracted positions. The needle being designed to at least partially insert the medication into living tissue. A medication reservoir supplies the medication to the needle for at least partial insertion into the tissue. A computing device controls the needle actuation and the supply of the medication to the needle for controlling administration of the medication at multiple different computer-controlled depths and/or locations of the tissue.

Needle-point pen apparatus, methods, and systems for administering medication

Videography of climbing surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Currently, videography using UAVs (e.g. drones) avoid vertical structures. Rather, such drones are designed to navigate open aerial spaces. For example, UAVs often include sensors and piloting programming to avoid vertical walls. In climbing scenarios, however, a UAV provides improved videography of the vertical surface as described herein. As such, attributes of a vertical, semi-vertical, or non-uniform vertical surface can be recognized by a UAV. These surface attributes can be used to pilot and/or control a UAV. In certain embodiments, a transmitter is disposed on the climber, a normal climbing surface vector is determined, and UAV control settings are generated thereby to position the UAV. And, improved communication can be provided so as to relay real-time video capture of climbing activity to one or more persons on the ground.

Several embodiments of present invention relate to indexing a multi-media presentation. The presentation can include a live broadcast or a recording. Several embodiments also include defining portions of digital data recordings based on the occurrence of content events. And, various embodiments relate to creating compilations of and/or access to video recordings based on occurrence of one or more content events recorded therein. Embodiments can include a dwindling buffer that temporarily stores segments of a presentation. The segments can include only temporarily stored segments with limited portions made imperceptible. The limited portions made imperceptible can include language, violent, sexual and drug-related content events. An altered segment can be assembled only on playback with an original recording so as to redact, skip, or otherwise render imperceptible the content event within the presentation without creating a fixed altered version thereof.

The inventions disclosed herein relate to designs of climbing surfaces, fall safety pads and/or accessories related thereto. According to some embodiments, different impact zones of a fall safety pad can have different cushioning attributes. The different cushioning attributes of the different impact zones of the safety pad can be based on a vertical distance to a directly overlying portion of the climbing surface. The different cushioning attributes of the different impact zones of the safety pad can also consider a predicted or measured frequency of falling from a portion of the climbing surface directly overlying each impact zone of the safety pad. Further, wear, replicability, customizations of enjoyment, and updates to safety concerns in the climbing sport are further understood in view of this disclosure.
