The present invention relates to the process where a gun video camera is controlled by logic functions using inputs from sensors monitoring the gun and environmental characteristics. More particularly, a control signal is generated which determines the wake-up time of a camera in sleep mode and the recording time of video and data capture of the camera.

A system is disclosed for monitoring an electrolyte level in a battery cell and generating an indication of a fault condition when the electrolyte level drops below a predetermined acceptable level. The system may make use of a controller, an ultrasonic transmit circuit for transmitting an ultrasonic signal into an interior area of the battery cell, and an ultrasonic receive circuit for receiving the ultrasonic signal after it has been reflected from the interior area of the battery cell. The controller may use the reflected ultrasonic signal and a predetermined calibration signal representing the predetermined acceptable level of the electrolyte to determine when the electrolyte level has dropped below the predetermined acceptable level.

A shock absorbing mount on a gun using a camera system for training a shooter. The mount includes a mounting bracket with an upper portion having an opening defined therein for firmly mechanically attaching to at least one barrel of a gun and a lower portion for firm mechanically attaching to a tube assembly. The tube assembly is adapted to slidably mount carriage assembly of a camera therein. The tube assembly includes a first end with a first captive cap holding a lens window directed toward a gun front sight when mounted on the gun, the first end including a load transfer ring positioned between the first captive cap and a carriage assembly body of the camera. A programming system is also disclosed to translate a relative position of the generated reticule overlay relative to a generated graticule overlay using the offset previously stored.

This invention relates to the mounting and programming of a camera for the capturing of the images of a target, and/or the shooter, at the time around the discharge of a gun, bow, or shooting device. More particularly, the present invention relates to the process of mounting a digital video camera onto a gun barrel or shooting device and the programming of the video camera for the shooting environment associated with being mounted on a gun barrel or shooting device. This invention will allow a camera to survive repeated vibration and shock from the gun discharges and allow the user to program the camera for their specific shooting device characteristics.

A novel system and process is described for the capturing of the images of a target, and/or the shooter, at the time around the discharge of a gun, bow, or shooting device and the display of the images prior to discharge, around point of discharge, and post discharge in a manner that allows the shooter to analyze the images and data. More particularly, the process is directed to shooting a moving target that must be led in order that the projectile (or projectiles) arrives on target after the point in time where the shoot decision is made and the projectile reaches the target area. This process aids the shooter by letting them see images and sight pictures of successful and unsuccessful shots and how much lead, if any, they had given the targets at the point in time they decided to shoot. It also allows for the shooters technique to be recorded and analyzed.

Method for producing ethanol from solid citrus waste by reducing the concentration of limonene in citrus waste to allow fermentation. In one embodiment ground solid citrus waste is partially hydrolyzed and pasteurized by heating using a jet cooker and then injected into a flash tank to remove limonene. The heated citrus waste is then cooled, hydrolyzed with enzymes and fermented to ethanol. The remaining solids and liquids may be processed further to yield other byproducts. More particularly, the solids may be dried and pressed for use in cattle feed and the liquids may be further fermented or processed to yield additional ethanol, acetate, galacturonic acid monomers and polymers, five carbon sugars and other products.

Processes for the recovery of ethanol, useful as a fuel, from various cellulosic feedstock materials fermented to produce ethanol-containing beer are disclosed. The present invention provides a method and a system for ethanol recovery from highly viscous fermented citrus waste biomass. The systems overcome various challenges, including effectively stripping the ethanol from biomass beer in an energy efficient and economical manner that may allow for the further dehydration of the ethanol/water mix in a traditional rectifier distillation column. In certain embodiments, a series of flash stages and beer stripping columns are capable of operating with highly viscous slurries and/or feedstocks containing high levels of solids.

Method of pretreating citrus waste to break cell structure, pasteurize or sterilize citrus waste solids and remove inhibitory peel oil components (e.g., limonene) involving optionally reducing the particle size of the citrus waste prior to preheating, preheating the citrus waste through indirect heating in a preheater reactor to form preheated citrus waste and conveying the preheated citrus waste to a main reactor, heating the citrus waste through a combination of (simultaneous) indirect heating and direct heating to produce treated citrus waste solids that are pasteurized and a vapor containing water and peel oil components, separating the pasteurized citrus waste solids and the vapor containing water and peel oil components, and collecting the separated vapor containing water and peel oil components by condensation. The method optionally includes cooling the pasteurized citrus waste solids followed by saccharifying with enzymes and fermentation to produce ethanol or other products.

A method and apparatus for vacuum cooling heated viscous and/or high solids mixtures employs at least one cooling tank () having inwardly sloping side walls () from a top () to an opening that is attached to a outlet pump or valve () located at the tank bottom, a rotational spreader () near the top and at least one vacuum pump () to maintain the predetermined vacuum in the tank, and input and output pumps (). The rotational spreader () breaks up the heated viscous and/or high solids mixture () and distributes it onto the side walls of the tank to form a film () which is cooled as it travels to and slides down the sides to the bottom where the viscous and/or high solids mixture is outputted from the tank by a pump or valve (). Multiple stages of the apparatus may be employed preferably with progressively greater vacuum pressure in each stage to accomplish even further cooling of the viscous and/or high solids mixtures.
